I discovered this gem while researching venues for Cupcake Camp which took place in late January. Trying to look for alternatives to downtown community centres which were too rich for my blood, I took to looking at dance studios. Though Labspace Studio is not for dance, its space opens itself for the art community - and with an owner who has a soft spot for cupcakes, it's also open for the cupcake community.... lucky us!
Admittedly we underestimated the number of people coming to our event but the venue is perfect for more intimate and smaller events like art exhibits or small concerts.
The owners were also very helpful in both promoting our event and suggesting a good place to purchase limited liability insurance. Particular with it being my first event-planning and venue booking experience, they were very helpful in the process. It's a great venue that's helping keep the art community alive in the Leslieville area! -

LabSpace is a great venue. Super affordable for art shows, gatherings, parties, etc. Owners were amazing and really easy going. Great facility and easily accessible by transit.
