Victoria has a large population of little old ladies and not all of them still have their wits about them. My mom is one of those ladies.
She wanted to have some inexpensive jade stones (sentimental value only) made into a necklace and this jeweler quoted her a very high price (CAD$1400?). She agreed to the price and put a deposit on the necklace. He later wanted more money to complete the necklace, but my mom got cold feet. When she went to cancel the order, the jeweler flipped out and started screaming at her and cursing her. She was so unnerved by the response that she asked for her stones back and he returned them but he demanded her receipts. My mom wanted the whole thing done so she gave him the receipts and she got her stones returned, minus her deposit which was more than a few hundred dollars. Its a very sad thing that people do these sorts of things to little old ladies. Caveat emptor. -

I went with my coworker to this little shop to buy a watch, and he was really not happy with it. It broke within ten minutes of buying it, but the guy who runs the shop wouldn't replace it or repair it.
Same as the last reviewer - the guy gets mad and yells at the customers!
