Just came back from Paris last weekend. Having visited a few culinary temples: Alain Ducasse, Epicure Le Bristol & Joël Rubuchon on the same trip, I find this place not only offers good value, but also the sophistication that you'll find at the aforementioned restaurant. There's a good reason for that, the chef/owner worked @ Alain Ducasse & Lasserre for many years before he started his own shop.

I had both lunch & dinner here. I found the dinner here on a Friday night to be slightly more entertaining (in terms of people watching). That being said, food is the real star here. While there were a few similarities between some entrées here vs that of Le Bristol, the portions here are far more generous.

Also, on this trip, I've had 3 amazing & memorable desserts: the chocolate sphere @ Le Bristol; the mille-feuille @ Jacques Genin; the Japanese pear @ Les Tablettes Jean Louis Nomicos. So if you have a sweet tooth, don't forget to ask for the over-the-top dessert.

I also find sommelier Massimo very friendly & helpful. His passion for wine is infectious.

Have traveled all over the world and never before made a chef that could not care less about allergies. Even though he was told about allergies in our group, he made a meal his way and didn't care that those of us who couldn't eat it sat out the courses! And, from what I heard, we weren't missing much.

Plenty of wonderful restaurants in Paris. Don't bother with this one.

Definitely my best meal in Paris (and this is after being here for 2 months and going to several other great spots).

We came here for lunch and decided to order the lunch menu which came with entree/plat/fromage/dessert. It also came with water, coffee and wine - a lot of wine! For 58 euros, this was an insane steal.

It all started incredibly with an amuse bouche of foie gras, lentil and vinegar. I'm not doing a great job of describing it but it was superb. My Jerusalem artichoke soup with cepe mushroom wontons surpassed most other soups a person will have in their life. My fish (the merlu) was on top of chopped artichokes and had another green sauce - the fish was so perfectly done. I could go on and on. Our friend got the marinated scallops as an appetizer. They were resting on beets and beautifully presented.

Dessert did not disappoint - each of us tried something different and we loved them all. I had the best ile flotante of my life, my friend had a meringue with chocolate and hazelnuts and she thought it was out of this world. There was also a pink grapefruit dessert with a sorbet that the other two people fell in love with.

Another fun surprise were the little treats that came with the coffee service.

Simply awesome meal. So under the radar, too (we found out about it from someone who just finished culinary school out here).

This wonderful restaurant is a regular stop when I'm in Paris - made easier by the fact that I usually stay at the Hotel St James in Av. Bugeaud (off Av Foch), so it's only a short walk awayOne of its attractions is it's small size - cosy for such a renowned place, and you get perfect attention from the staff. I also love the gilded light which shows off the girls to their best advantage.

Great food in a quiet location of Paris. The decor is quite modern. The food and service were top notch.

Overall, a very satisfyingly meal experience.

Two doors down from where we live but had never been there before. Decided to take my wife for lunch (we both needed cheering up after a couple of weeks of not so good news) and it really was outstanding. Interesting that it was an all female waiting staff but they were all excellent and the food was truly delicious. I heartily advise the (lunch) menu for 58 Euros which includes four courses plus a half bottle of wine each (excellent for those who like us where one likes red and the other white) but it was seriously good. The only minor gripe was that the main course could have been slightly more warm, but other than that everything from food to staff to ambiance, was a delight.

Jean-Louis Nomicos breaks away from the multi-Michelin-star mothership with this small, sophisticated spot that affords the experience of feeling like a connected Parisian in this off-the-beaten track spot deep in the 16th. Lunch was less than half the price of dinner, and with an inclusive 3-course plus wine (and bottled water), how could we go wrong? Nothing beats drinking dry crisp white wine for lunch on a weekday, and nothing goes better with this than the scallops app they serve here. It's so beautiful you won't want to eat it, and when you do, you'll want another. For my main, I ordered the brandade. Silly me, I thought this was yet another species of the endless fish I've found on menus here, but I was pleasantly surprised when instead a traditional emulsion of salt cod and olive oil served with potatoes was put in front of me. At first I panicked thinking that either I had misordered or the waiter had messed up; neither was true as I soon became quite satisfied with my first hurrah into the culinary world of old-school French autumn/winter cooking-- and this experience I will never forget. For desert we all shared an array of delicate plates of chocolate treats and fruit sorbets that seamlessly melded into coffee with little treats, a bit more wine, and a friendly bill that didn't hurt too much. As I sit here writing this review all I can think of is how can I get on a plane and go back here and relive these experiences. Tell me that?!
