Review from Malloreigh M.
Vancouver, BC
The food at La Petite Burrow is great - a lot of fancy breads with fresh ingredients served in top of and inside of them. We ordered the potato pizza, which was served on an irregularly shaped but freshly made flat loaf of bread. It was subtly flavoured and pretty good, considering we ordered it without cheese - though definitely sauceless and as a result a little bit dry.
Our friends ordered the veggie burger sliders which were, by all accounts, absolutely incredible.
The service we received was - interesting. All over Squamish we had been treated to fairly hostile service, and I hear this isn't uncommon - apparently Squamish residents absolutely despise tourists but have no choice other than to work in the service industry. It's a tough life.
Anyway, La Petite Burrow was no exception. The one-woman show running the restaurant on New Year's Day did NOT want us in there. She was busy and seating six twentysomething city slickers did not appeal to her. However, once we had sat down at the bar and had proven we weren't going to be snide bastards, she warmed up immensely.
I may go back if I visit Squamish for an evening meal.
