Review from Kenneth E.
Vancouver, BC
Since it's only 2 stores over from New Town, decided to see what's the fuss about.
Definitely the quality's better than New Town but still, kinda comparing apples and oranges. It's catered to the high end: about a dozen chocolate chip cookies, the size of maybe a toonie and a half, for $4.50! Yes it was good...
Also ordered the almond cookies, they were even better.
Since I haven't had an eclair for a long time, the one they had would've tasted better if they got rid the 3 strawberries; i'm just a bit old-fashioned lol. but the creme was good, as well as the crusty donut...
Will definitely go back to try the rest.

Like most asian bakeries and desserts, most of the goods have a lighter and fresh taste to them. Asian grandma approved: Nothing is overly sweet or rich here!
I enjoy their packaged backed goods - especially their puff pastry that is lighted dressed in a sweet syrup. Light, crispy flakes of semi-sweet delight. I also enjoy these round cookies or crackers? They are brown with a dark brown swirl in them, not too much flavour but the light, sweet taste and *super crunch* go so well with tea or hot chocolate. And you can't go wrong with the usual pineapple buns, wife cafes and sliced bread.
Cash only. Parking can sometimes be a bit torturous. Less than a 5 minute walk from the Canadaline stop. Overall lovely place to browse.Listed in: April Underdog CHALLENGE…

Review from Dominique N.
One of the premier bakeries in Richmond - whenever we go visit my grandparents, one of my uncles in California "commissions" a box of his favorite sweets from this place. (lo po bang).
While the baked goods here are a bit higher priced than what you might find in the Public Market, the quality is also a notch above. The cakes here are fantastic - fresh, light and not too sweet (like most Asian-style cakes). The usual suspects (sliced bread, cocktail bun, pineapple bun) are all superb. Stop by this one, or the one on Granville (which is next door to my favorite Chinese restaurant, Red Star). -
Review from Natasha L.
A typical Chinese type bakery with various buns (garlic cheese, crunchy pineapple, floss bun), tarts and cakes with more "tropical" flavors.
Their buns are above average with their soft fluffiness. I personally find their garlic cheese slightly too "garlicky".
Their hazelnut cakes are good, as it is not too sweet and have a nice balance between spongy layers and the denser hazelnut layer.
Another favorite is their taro cake, despite initial apprehension of a purple cake layered with taro paste.
Their guava mousse is pretty decent too as you can taste the refreshing guava flavors.
I find their standard fruit cake too spongy and too creamy.
As usual, cash only please!
