I'm at La Luna pretty much every other week, if not more. I typically go to the express but either way there's a reason I keep going back. I love their greek salad! It's fresh, light and there is always tons of cheese.
The odd time I get the falafel which is always really tasty, filling and fresh.

The food is pretty good, nice and fresh. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired. It has the feel of fine dining but the murals and the dated decor makes you feel like it's neither casual or fine dining. Sitting on the bar side is nicer than the dining side. Strange.
But the food is good, so I still recommend it!

Food is excellent but the mains are very pricey. Like $22 a main. If you get a sandwich and an appetizer though it's not too bad. If the mains were like $13 it would be a home run!

One of my most-visited restaurants in Ontario.  Located directly across from the Masonic Centre at King/Queen in Hamilton, the interior boasts 2 large rooms, both equipped with a fire place.  Pictures of Lebanon adorn the walls, and they're always playing that cheesy Eastern music that sounds like it's from the end of a romantic Bollywood flick.  The servers and hostesses have always been consistent 7s on the hotness scale.

The food is so cheap, you'll wonder if you're in the right place.  Seriously, $6 for a beef shawarma, a shish tawook (chicken shawarma), AMAZING falafel, or shish kebob.  A huge helping of fattoush or tabouli is $7, and most of the apps are $8.  Appetizers like spicy potatoes, lemon-garlic mushrooms, deep fried cauliflower and tomato, and modemmes (my favourite).  The main entrees are a bit pricier at an average of $20, so we tend to stick to a salad, a sandwich and a few apps to share around the table.  Their house red wine has always been tasty (I'm not sure what it is, I should ask) and they have a few microbreweries on tap (seems to be a running trend with my reviews).   They do have a Canadian section of the menu for the less adventurous types, but I haven't tried it, for the same reason that I wouldn't order a steak and kidney pie from a Chinese food place.

While it's a touch out of the downtown core, it's not a terribly far walk away, and it's quite close to Hess village.  I will mention that the parking is balls.

hmm. That's all I can say. I used to ride the La Luna train back in the day but now I'm starting to wonder about this place. Went there the other day to just get a simple meal for three; two falafels, a shawarma, tabbouleh salad and tahini salad. It was ok. It wasn't great. It wasn't THAT cheap. It was just ok. And it's in a ridiculously ugly building. Mind you the service was great.

Anyway, I've already contradicted myself because in another post about the Casbah I called this the best falafel anywhere. It's pretty good. But it's also gotten just a bit too expensive.

Great food!  The dishes can be pricey but are certainly worth it.  The Lentil soup and Shish Tawook are very tasty!

I tried this place last night and was pleasantly surprised. I went with my family and we all got something different - The Falafel Sandwich was the best choice in my opinion (and its a very good price!)

The waitress was helpful with all items on the menu and friendly, and the location isn't the best but works - it's beside the Kasbha which is  a regular spot for loud music - but i don't think the hours of the two conflict.

Recommend trying it to be pleasantly surprised!!

The BEST falafel sandwich in the world.  I now compare all falafel to La Luna, and have not found anything like it.  Actually, few even come remotely close.  Lebanese food, a lot of vegan items, and the best falafel sandwich.  I have seriously considered asking my Canadian relatives to make the trip to Hamilton from Toronto each time they visit me in Chicago, just to bring me a sandwich.  The only reason I have not, is because I don't think it would survive the trip.

Best falafel sandwich i've ever had.  Reasonably priced.  Don't accept debit.

While the decor leaves much to be desired, the food here is consistently good and the portions are huge (a "side salad" could easily be a meal). But I have to say that the prices for dinner are quite high for what you are getting. $20 for a vegetarian plate? (salad, hummus, babaghanoush, pita bread, grilled veggies).

Went to this place for lunch.  The sandwiches were very reasonable.  The schwarema was very good.  Service and atmosphere were fantastic.  Not good for a quick lunch, but not too long.   Would definitely be willing to return.
