Woah, such cheap food.
There's drink specials every day, and depending on the time you go there's a dinner or lunch special daily as well.
The food portions are large, they taste pretty good and it's really worth your dollar.
The staff here are friendly enough, not amazing but they do a good enough job.
One weird thing is how dark it is in the place. I swear their food is so cheap because they save so much money cutting corners on their hydro bill. -

Pros:
Cheap Food
Lot's of parking
Fast Service
Cons:
Cheap Food
Very Small & Dark
Crowded
In a old strip mall so nothing to look at
So-so food
Not a creative menu
If your looking for something cheap for lunch it works but I wouldn't go out of my way? The La Grill & Bistro is a regular Pasta/Burger joint with nothing fancy or creative on the menu.
The food is cheap and that attracts a Richmond crowd at night or the dinner hour.
Looking to save a buck it might be worth a try. -

Good food for a good price! We rarely get to go to more western restaurants because its so pricey but this is the only restaurant that we enjoyed that was pretty cheap. We ordered a calamari appetizer for all 4 of us to share for 5.95. I ordered a shrimp and avocado sandwich for 7.95 and it was the best sandwich i ever had (Im a burger person not a sandwich person). Sides were a little on the cheap side ; plain red potatoes and green salad but everything was enough to fill me. No complaints on service but the waitress asked how our meal was when we only had a bite left on our plates. Environment is nice and quiet but busy.

The food is good here, and very surprisingly inexpensive. Their sandwiches usually come with a side of red potatoes and a salad and completely fills me up for honestly cheaper than what I would order at the McDonald's across the parking lot, and with better tasting and healthier food.
I have a liking for their shrimp club sandwich, though most probably would prefer their other sandwiches. Their chicken strips and accompanying sauce is also very good. -

This place looked seedy from the outside. They have outdoor and indoor dining. Once inside my fears were laid to rest.
The specials are a antastic value!
Amazingly priced drinks at 4.25 for a martini and specials of the night was about 10. I had the Wednesday night special a Chicken Souvlaki with rice, potatoes and salad. Everything was very good except the potatoes. Which tasted odd. Normally there is a nice lemon flavour to dishes like this but this one tasted... more... sour to me. Not sour like it had expired but less lemon and more sour cream. It was an odd flavour.
The drinks were made appropriately but they served there martini's with little straws in them. The stemware was dirty. Blatant lipstick on one of the martini glasses and not the right shade of the person drinking it!
I do question what they are using for "lime juice" as it seemed more like "lime flavouring"
I asked if the Salmon was farmed and the answer I got was a, "I believe it is yes." Our waitress seemed eager to please and that is the answer she thought I wanted. I would double check on the Salmon before concluding it is farmed or not.
Over all a very good experience I will definitely be back for the great value when in Richmond. -

I was there the other night for dinner; I had the L.A. Chicken Burger with Bacon and Avocado. It was pretty uneventful. As well the Garden salad and roasted potatoes were just .....meh... (actually a couple of the potatoes were burgoening on the raw side. But i guess for the price it beats McDonalds for atmosphere and relative cleanliness. I did try a bite or two of the classic Cheeseburger and it was really good; a nice juicy patty so I would definitely recommend that over the chicken burger.

Fantastic, cheap food and friendly staff.
I wanted to stay for their Monday special (New York steak dinner for $7.95?!) but I didn't have time. Instead, I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich to go. It still only cost me about $9 and included roast potatoes and a very nice, very simple side salad. The chicken pesto sandwich was delicious, they used fresh basil leaves as a layering ingredient.
I don't know if it's just changed recently but they had no problem with me ordering take-out.
Definitely going back and bringing friends. -

i went there numerous times and i have been impressed all the time... the appetizers are excellent, the calamaris are huge... but the best is the chicken strips - the dipping sauce is FANTASTIC... what's great about it is that it's big enough to be a meal itself...
let's talk about main course... their burger plates are excellent... and so are their pastas and steaks... but plz don't compare the steaks from The Keg to this place... nonetheless the food here is excellent and the price is not that expensive... -
Review from Jim H.
The food was inexpensive and the service was fast and friendly. I'm not sure if I'd return, since the dish I had - "Spicy" prawns with linguini - was just plain bland. A couple of cloves of garlic and a pinch of red pepper flakes was all it needed. Looks more like a beer and a burger place.
