La Favorite Pastry Shop is great. They use actual ingredients here (natural) and not artificial ones that you will find at grocery stores. They don't just make cakes they got pastries and chocolates as well.
If you have a wedding or some other celebration coming up they also do custom cakes. I tried some chocolate here and it was great! All the items are fresh too!
So if you want to know what a real cake tastes like check this place out. -

This is one of the better dessert places in Edmonton. Parking is very tight in this area as it is shared by a quite a few popular shops in the same enclave. I liked the Biscotti here and the cappuccino is decent. The cakes are good and so are their other items. 3.5 Stars overall.

La Favorite is a pastry shop located in an area of boutique shops just off 124th street. They feature in house made fine belgian chocolates as well as cakes and pastries. They also do wedding cakes on order and they happen to be the birth place of a certain local hockey legend's wedding cake!
Heath and I wandered in on a rainy day looking to satisfy our sweet tooths (teeth?). The store was just about to close so we each chose to sample a Milk and Butter chocolate before they turned the "closed" sign on us. They were smooth and delicious and melted in your mouth. They take debit, but only for totals over 5$. This is a great place to stop in if you are shopping in the HighStreet neighborhood. -

La Favorite is a nice little pastry shop that sells delicious deserts. Here you can buy freshly baked pastries as well as order cakes for your next celebration. The selection is extensive ranging from french pastries and fruit tarts to chocolate and full blown cakes. The fact that La Favorite's bakers use the freshes ingredients is definitely reflected in the taste of the final product: every single dessert I have tried was rich tasting and savoury.
I had the pleasure of ordering two cakes from La Favorite which were Raspberry and Chocolate Mousse and Triple Chocolate Terrine, and both were fantastic in addition to being reasonably priced.
If you have never been to La Favorite but want to see what they have to offer, please come as early in the day as you can, otherwise you will see half empty shelves since this pastry shop very popular among locals. -

w if you like cakes then you will love La Favorite Pastry Shop as much as I do. Unlike other cakes from Save-on or some place like that, the ingredients are natural (made from butter creams and whipping cream no artificial stuff). If you are looking for a place to pick up a weeding cake then this is the place to go; Wayne Gretzky got his weeding cake made at La Favorite. Some of my favorite cakes are the cheesecakes, the raspberry and white chocolate, the lemon mousse (it's nice and light) and the cappuccino mousse. If you don't want to buy a whole cake then you can pick from French pastries and the fresh fruit tarts (so good!). They also make some great cheese and cranberry scones. They are great to have in the morning for breakfast.
The cakes are decorated very nicely so they make a great end to the perfect Christmas party. If there are lots of people they also make slabs of cake to accommodate lots of people. -

If you're in the mood for some luscious sweets, La Favorite is a gourmet bake shop with displays of eye-appealing, baked pastries and cakes. Whether you favour chocolate ganach, lemon mousse, fruit flans, French squares, sweet fruit tarts or custard creme, they've got it all. Most of the stuff they've got in the bakeries of supermarkets are not real cakes. This is the stuff of the Gods! They had just baked fresh cranberry scones when I was in and the bleeding red of the berries across the white flour biscuits was irresistible. So was the taste.
La Favorite also makes a selection of fresh high-quality chocolates, perfect for gifts or a little treat when you're in the neighbourhood. They also do custom wedding cakes. This is where Wayne and Janet Gretzky got their wedding cake done. Their claim to fame is visible in photos hung up all around the shop. Can you blame 'em?! -

Haven't been in for quite a while & must admit to being disappointed. Bought 4 petits four - they were all very dry with very little flavor. I probably won't be back.
