    Can I live here, please?

Oh, I know there is a residential part of the building and this is technically possible.  But as I don't live in Canada and don't have the hundreds of thousands of dollars for a high rise condo, this is still very much a dream.

L'Hermitage Hotel was across-the-board perfection: EXCELLENT service; clean, comfortable, spacious, tastefully and elegantly decorated suites; amenities like a heated saltwater pool & jacuzzi and 24-hour gym; steps away from many cafes and restaurants and public transportation stops; a short walk away from more restaurants and the main shopping areas of downtown Vancouver. The only complaint I have is that the free wireless Internet was spotty on my iPad, but that seems so minor compared to the many hotel highlights.  The rate per night was moderate, but worth every penny.

I can't live here, but I'm definitely staying here again for my next Vancouver vacation.

This might be the best hotel I've ever stayed in, and the price is RIGHT. The location was perfect, situated right off of Robson Street, walkable to almost everything downtown Vancouver has to offer and a quick cab ride anywhere else (less than $10).

The service is exceptional and our room was perfect. Quite large for a hotel room, with a girl's dream of a bathroom! I loved the modern but cozy feel to the rooms and the gas fireplace really ups the ante. I also loved the turn down service in which the staff would leave a breakfast menu to mark and hang on your door for next morning delivery. That said, even if you call your breakfast in the morning of, it is very prompt delivery.

I think that I've found my Canadian home away from home and am happy to say that after this experience, I will only stay at L'Hermitage when I visit Vancouver.

This is one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in, but I have to say I've stayed in even better ones that were the same price or even slightly cheaper, and the price is the only reason I can't give it a 5 star rating. So if your moneybags, consider this a 5-star review. For regular people like myself, I loved the experience but probably would save some of my money next time.

I had a suite, which was great because it really felt like I had just moved to Vancouver. The kitchen is spectacular and the living room is pretty nice and spacious. Great chairs. The fireplace (faux) was still beautiful. The bedroom was small, but the bed was so soft and comfortable. The washer/dryer in the suite was awesome to have, especially when you have lots of laundry to do from roadtripping and outdoor activities. That was probably my favorite thing believe it or not. The bathroom was the major let down. It had very little counter space and was small. I would have really liked glass doors instead of a curtain, and maybe some more color in there - a bit drab.

The lobby and hallways (it's a hotel plus condo combo on seven floors) is really nicely decorated.

The service - particularly the valet - was outstanding. Shout out to Mitchell - he was great! Everyone else was wonderful too, but we took a shine to Mitchell.

The location is terrific - you can walk all over downtown without a problem. Surprisingly, it was quiet in our suite too, although in the summer it might be louder when you have windows open and more people are outside. We faced the jacuzzi and pool and we could hear people in the jacuzzi early in the morning (hours of jacuzzi and pool 6:30-10pm). It was also awkward to open the deck and look right down on two people making out in the jacuzzi. We didn't go outside (it was cold anyway) after that.

If you have a car, you will want to valet it for $25 a day - trust me it's not cheaper anywhere else.

Overall L'Hermitage did not let us down. It was a nice indulgence to feel like we were living in Vancouver for a few days.

L' Hermitage was recommended to me by one of my best friends and all I can say is that she was right on! Not only is it within walking distance of everything that is great in Vancouver, but the staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful and they were nice enough to upgrade my brother, wife and baby into a room with a kitchen and washer/dryer. The pool area was nice and I was able to relax in the sauna as well. Hippo the bulldog was adorable and I was envious of the people I saw going into the residential tower--they are so lucky to live here! Next time I visit Vancouver, I will definitely stay at L'Hermitage again.

My husband and I chose L'Hermitage Hotel for our honeymoon hotel while we enjoyed our week in Vancouver.  It has the best value in the downtown area for this caliber of hotel.

The service is absolutely wonderful.  The staff are very friendly, professional and helpful without being intrusive.  Since they knew it was our honeymoon, they provided us with a complementary platter and bottle of wine upon our arrival.  The staff are very hard-working as well.  Each time we walked in and out of the hotel, it was always the same host at the check-in counter.

Our suite was tastefully designed in a modern manner.  I believe that many of their suites also function as long-term stay suites or are residential suites as well.

I believe the owner has a cute bulldog who also resides at the hotel.  He is a well-pampered pet.

I will most definitely stay here again!

My husband, 3 year old and I stayed at L'Hermitage this past weekend for a quick escape from Seattle. As many reviewers have already posted, the amenities and staff are nothing short of absolutely outstanding.

As parents of a small child, we really appreciated having a well appointed kitchen area to make snacks and whatnot for my daughter. Despite being an upscale boutique hotel that looks all adult, they were very welcoming to my daughter and even gave her a stuffed moose animal upon arrival that became her best friend all weekend long.

I also very much appreciated the hotel having flatware sized for a child at the breakfast buffet. It sounds silly, but even family restaurants often only provide huge flatware which makes it very hard for a 3 year old to not make a big mess.

Justin provided amazing room service and deserves extra credit here (as does the gentleman that ran the front door area and our car that was so kind to us, but unfortunately I have forgotten his name, many apologies).

The beds were incredibly comfortable, the room was clean, and we had a beautiful corner suite full of windows.

We ordered room service from Q4 Al Centro, Friday evening and it was also very, very good. Be sure to make reservations ahead of your arrival if you are planning on dinner there, there were no reservations to be had until late Friday evening.

One tip, there is a well stocked little grocery store practically next door, and a liquor store two doors down from the store. You can pick up  wine, cheese, fresh baguettes, fruit, etc. to take back to your room.

The best hotel I have ever stayed at. I have traveled a fair amount and stayed at a fair number of hotels ranging from Holiday Inn's to a couple upscale joints and I would take L'Hermitage over all of them.

Rooms were excellent, staff were ALL genuinely nice and helpful. Great location. Will not stay anywhere else when visiting Vancouver.

We headed up to Vancouver for some post- holiday stress relief.  We had an amazing stay and the service was the best I have ever experienced.   We found L'Hermitage on http://Hipmunk.com  and it looked like a pretty nice place so we booked it!

We arrived at L'Hermitage  I became even more impressed. This is a very beautiful boutique hotel that is contemporary mixed with classic Parisian decor.   We were immediately greeted by the doorman who was extremely helpful and polite.  We  checked in with no wait and the front desk was very professional and friendly as well.   We were showed to our room which was a king suite with fireplace.  Very cozy and romantic.  Our room was a good size for our two night stay.  We had a Nesspresso in the room (very awesome) and the bathroom could have easily been mistaken for one in a spa.

We couldn't stop talking about the service when we left.  It was raining and they lent us two umbrella's.  They gave us a good dinner recommendation for our second night.  We had the hotel brunch our last morning there which while a little pricey was very fresh with plenty of options.

The location was awesome.  Just a stone's throw from shopping and great food like  Cafe Medina.

Probably one of the best hotel stays I have ever had.  I would stay here again in a heart beat.

It does not get better than this. And certainly not for the price.

I was recently asked by a coworker "what's the nicest hotel room you've stayed in?". Im a very frequent traveler and thought about the suite at London's Paddinton Hilton overlooking the park or a bathroom to throw a party in from Caesar's Palace tower. There was even the remarkable and personal service from the Heathman in Portland but nothing to date compares to the all around experience at L'Hermitage.

It' may not be the biggest or the best worldwide as I'm sure many would prefer a hut, just off the water on an exotic island  but this is a close second.

At a nightly rate less than the Westin around the corner and a promotional upgrade, for $188/night I enjoined a corner suite with separate bedroom, den, kitchen, bath and sitting room. Oh, throw in a balcony overlooking the pool and a washer/dryer. Throw in the personal concierge attention, you really get a bang for your buck.

I toured 2 other rooms on my floor and all were well done. Some with 2 baths and more closet space but all with the same amenities. The corner suite is the biggest.

I've stayed in 2 hotels and 1 private condo rented on Aitbnb but this is by far the best in Vancouver. I will be back and hopefully sooner than later. Check out my pictures of #707 and you'll be sold.

Any hotel that includes a canine concierge gets a star right out the gate. A French Bulldog named Hippo, is above and beyond.

We loved our stay at this hotel. Centrally located, we walked everywhere from here. We were welcomed by the always friendly staff. The decor was beautiful, clean and modern. Our room was spacious and the bed was firm and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was right off of Robson and walking distance to pretty much anything else we wanted.

The front desk, bellmen, everyone, was always courteous, helpful, and professional.

The bed was comfy and room was large enough to have a sitting area.

The outdoor pool was heated so it wasn't too bad to get in even if it was only 50F outside. The hot tub was also a welcome way to relax.

We loved Hippo, the dog concierge. He did help show us to a lounge as our room was getting ready. That was a nice touch.

I could keep gushing but I think it's pretty clear by mine and the other reviews: stay here if you're going to be in Vancouver.

    Hip Hip Hooray For Hippo.....

It's true.  The great reviews of the L'Hermitage Hotel in downtown Vancouver are justified.  It's a luxurious place with unvarnished superior service at a reasonable price.  What more could you ask?  Even the hotel mascot, Hippo, a French Bulldog, felt so comfortable he didn't budge an inch from wherever he planted himself in the first floor lobby.

My wife and I...plus her son, his wife and their 6 year old daughter...stayed at L'Hermitage for several days before the 2 of us left Vancouver for a cruise to Alaska.  We examined tons of online hotel reviews to make our choice and can honestly say it was one of our better vacation decisions.

The hotel, on a side street near the intersection of Richards and Robson, has an unassuming entrance.  Since Richards is one way, it's best to approach from the north on West Georgia Street .  Valet parking is offered at $25 per day which sounds steep, but unlimited in-and-out privileges and good humor of the attendants made that cost a reasonable value.  Self parking in a nearby lot may save a few bucks, but probably wouldn't be worth the hassle...especially when lugging the luggage.

For the most part, L'Hermitage has a good location.  It's within walking distance of several neighborhoods, including the Financial District ( expensive stores ), Gastown to the north ( boutique shops and sketchy characters ) and Yaletown to the south ( converted warehouses with restaurants and residences ).  By the way, we went to the Blue Water Cafe in Yaletown and it was worth 5 stars.  However, 1 or 2 blocks west of the hotel lands you in a rundown area with panhandlers and people sitting on the sidewalk.  That's just life.

Checking in ( and out ) at the reception area was simple.  We always saw 2 people manning the desk which seemed sufficient for the flow of guests at most times.  The employees were cordial, efficient and helpful...even when we asked a silly tourist-type question.

The hotel part of L'Hermitage is actually on the 5th, 6th and 7th floors of the building.  Floors 2, 3 and 4 belong to an upscale housewares store with an entrance on Robson.  Floors 8 through 15 are for permanent residents.  Sort of like a condominium on top of a hotel.

Most of the rooms on the 5th floor where we stayed are the smallest of the hotel...either "junior suites" or "boutique suites".  However, size is a relative term.  Our boutique room was spacious, tastefully decorated with contemporary tones and very clean.  We had a king bed, sitting area and large bathroom containing a separate room for the toilet.  Don't underestimate the value of that last item.  Privacy for your privates is nice, particularly when you don't wish to share your...or your partner's...indigestion.

A few other observations about our room.  Service by the staff of maids was efficient, thorough and responsive to our requests.  Soundproofing was excellent since we didn't hear any neighbors, people in the hallway or traffic on Richards Street ( unless we opened the sliding glass door to the patio ).  Wi-Fi is free.  Water pressure in the shower was among the best I've seen and provided some much appreciated moments of invigoration.

We didn't take advantage of the full service breakfast buffet on the 5th floor until the 4th and final morning.  Cost of $18 per person might seem a tad high, but L'Hermitage offered a nice variety of well prepared, tasty food in a very comfortable ...almost plush...environment.  Service was top notch with both a server and manager at our beck and call.  Too bad we ran out of time to take advantage of the Italian restaurant next to the hotel ( and I believe associated with L'Hermitage ).

Another side note about the service.   Our extended family of 3 in the adjacent room had a few minor quibbles with their room and jotted them down on the typical note card provided by most hotels.  However, L'Hermitage is a bit different.  The manager contacted them and offered a suite  with separate kitchen and bedroom on the 7th floor.  Not to mention a nice view of the pool and some architecturally interesting buildings.  As soon as we heard that, my wife and I began to look for things to complain about, but we came up empty.

Next time we visit Vancouver, at least we won't need to do hours of research on where to stay.

Pros:    Luxurious environment.  Great service.  Good location.  Reasonable.  Nice dog.
    Cons:      Can't think of any

In terms of hotels, normally I do not need high class (just safe and without rats/roaches).  However, my husband considers a luxurious hotel important to a good vacation.

If I ever am in Vancouver again, I would definitely be a repeat customer to L'Hermitage hotel because their staff made you feel like a welcome celebrity.  The Yelp reviewers are definitely correct, this is the hotel to choose if you want a wonderful vacation in Vancouver!!!!  Definitely, the best hotel experience that I have ever had in my life.

This 2 yr new hotel is in a fabulous location in downtown Vancouver within walking distance of everything!  There is a full Market just next door if you have any grocery needs along with tons of shopping and restaurants/cafes/parks/museums all within 2 miles.

The 90 degree outdoor salt pool was wonderfully warm along with the beautiful jacuzzi.  A well equipped gym and sauna is also available for those that want to work out.  WiFi was easily accessible for my mother-in-law's IPAD.

Their All-You-Can-Eat breakfast was expensive but had the sweetest, freshest berries along with a wonderful expresso machine, lox, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, waffles and, of course, excellent service.

My daughter totally misses Hippo, the canine concierge.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. Ours was the corner suite and I felt so spoiled. We had two flat screen TV's, a mini bar, dining table, pull out sofa bed, plush King-sized bed, a huge patio overlooking downtown Vancouver, and a luxurious bathroom. The gym was nice, clean, and well-equipped. The salt-water pool (though narrow in size and had a maximum capacity of about 9 guests), was beautiful. I felt so happy swimming at 9:30 P.M. with the sun still out!

My favorite part: the free Lindt Chocolates...so much so that I asked the house keeper for extra, and she left us a lot of extra chocolates after she did house keeping :). Oh, I also took advantage of the espresso/coffee machine. Additionally, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Just a few steps out and I discovered a Starbucks on every block (if not, more), a market at the end of the block, and a shopping-addict's wonderland! Stores such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Banana Republic, Tiffany & Co etc...were within a few minutes walk.

The only downside that I could find was that the Wi-Fi was rather slow and the signal would disappear. However, that would only be an inconvenience for someone working in important business matters.

And yes, the stay was personalized, as others have mentioned that they leave a note in you room with your name printed on it upon arrival.

It was definitely a wonderful 3 days/2 nights that my family and I had at L'Hermitage.

A stay here for the New Year's holiday was a gift to my boyfriend, Matt. We found it a lovely, luxurious downtown hotel and reasonably priced too.

Our room was the smallest one they offer, and I was worried it would be a little too small. Not true. It was perfect for the two of us.

We enjoyed most the beautiful 4 piece marble bath. The bathtub is large and deep. The shower is encased in glass, allowing the steam to build up.

    Toiletries provided smell delicious.
    Hairdryer has multiple settings.
    Bed was very comfortable.

I don't know if we could have picked a better hotel.

We stayed in their 2 bedroom/2 bath suite for two nights over Easter weekend. The room was clean, modern, well equipped and had a HUGE patio that overlooked the pool and downtown area of Vancouver. All the service staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, and the concierge was awesome!

Perks: fully equipped kitchen, so if you are trying to save some money, you can definitely cook a great meal; awesome balcony; separate, comfy sitting area if you need to get some work done; Nespresso coffee machine (with decaf and regular) with real cream in the fridge; quiet room; clean; friendly staff; yummy room service; great restaurant attached (Q4).

Minor cons: crazy puffy pillows; master bedroom was much hotter then the other rooms...had to sleep with the windows open which wasn't really that bad; smallish bathrooms.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an apartment-like hotel room in the city. I will definitely be coming back!

Oh, and Hippo the little hotel dog is hilarious. :)

It was so nice, I stayed twice.

Upon this visit, I was pleasantly surprised to see a card sitting atop a counter in the room which welcomed me back. This was huge for me, as I frequent the same hotels often during my travels and this is the first time that my repeat business has been acknowledged outside of Las Vegas.

The rooms are just as amazing and the class of the employees is still top-notch.

I feel the need to re-iterate how amazing my stays here have been. Don't look anywhere else.

I debated for nearly a week between this place and the Opus.  I'm very happy I stayed here.  I simply don't get the low reviews on sites like TripAdvisor.
Every single staff member was polite and very professional.  I never passed anyone in the hall who didn't great me warmly.  The fitness room is nothing special but that's a minor complaint when the hot tub and lap pool are so fantastic.  The rooms are just lovely.  If there's anything to complain about, it's the parking lots across the street.  But that's so minor and not something the hotel can control.  I also think the price for breakfast was quite high so I skipped that.  But the location is central to most of the downtown neighborhoods and I'd not hesitate to come back here again.

I recently stayed four nights at this great downtown Vancouver hotel and loved it.

I stayed in a King Boutique room.  The room had a comfortable full king bed, a small sitting area and a functional natural gas fireplace.  There was ample room, even in this studio layout.  The bathroom was behind double French doors, appointed in marble and stainless steel sculptural fixtures.  There is a separate water closet, soaking bath and shower stall. If you're into hotel bathrooms, this one is one of the better ones.  There is also a minifridge, in room laptop sized safe, ironing board and iron, bathrobes (slippers on request), a Nespresso machine, and a flat screen lcd tv with full satellite access.

The hotel also has suites with full gourment kitchens: granite counters, Bosch appliances and a Subzero fridge.  It may be a better kitchen than the one you left at home.

Amenities include a breakfast room and well appointed guest lounge, a small but well equipped 24 hour gym, a sauna and steamroom, and an outdoor heated salt water lap pool on a 5th floor terrace. WiFi is free! Service is friendly and fast.  The concierge desk is Clef's D'Or affiliated so they can get you anything, even at your next destination.

The location cannot be beat.  It's a block to the Vancouver Library and Library Square, two blocks from Granville, three block to downtown centre/Vancouver Art Gallery and Yaletown in the other direction, and it sits on Robson.  There is an IGA Market Garden grocery on the corner (H-mart Korean grocery is a block away), next to a Tim Hortons; you cross Robson for Starbucks.  The neighbourhood is full of pubs and restaurant choices from take away to sit down including Japadog.  The bars, clubs and venues of Granville are a block up Robson.

Although the rack rate is high, you can easily get a deal thorough Expedia, http://Hotel.com, Hotelclub or Orbitz.  It's well worth the stay. While I am a Fairmont Premium President's Club member, and there are four great Fairmonts in Vancouver, this has become my favorite Vancouver hotel.  You can't beat the room, the included amenities, location and service.

We began our stay at the L'Hermitage on the third day after they opened. As such there were some rough edges but nothing serious enough to detract from the fantastic location, quality furnishings, and delightful staff.

Breakfasts were especially nice, as the dining area has a light, refreshing quality about it that complimented the excellent selection of cereals, fruits, coffee drinks, etc.

The rooms are tastefully decorated, most with a uniquely designed faux fireplace and feature oversized flat screen TV's.

While the hotels along the water do indeed have a commanding view and easy access to the tourist areas, the L'Hermitage couldn't be more central to the main Robson Street shopping areas, restaurants, and other cultural attractions. It's entirely possible to leave the car in the garage for the duration of your stay. (That was a good thing, as they had not at that time perfected access to the garage gates and others had security issues with their vehicles.)

The staff was exceptional in every case, the front desk folks especially useful for local information and directions.

Neglecting the start-up issues, the only complaint I could make is the exceptionally high door clearance at the bottom jamb of the room entrance; not only did noise and drafts tend to go right through, the polished marble floors allowed greater view into the rooms than one would expect.

    We *REALLY* liked this hotel.

The staff is knowledgeable and helpful.(Raymond at the front desk especially; but the whole front desk staff was great) The rooms are beautiful, the location is great, the breakfast is good, the pool/spa area is stunning.

We left this hotel to head up to the Four Seasons in Whistler and I was a little concerned as we headed out that it would be a downgrade after L'Hermitage. The stay was that good.

At this price point I have never stayed at a better property.

hip, clean and comfortable hotel with wonderful suites! i really can't think of anything that would've made my stay better...

i stayed in the 2-bedroom suite with some friends - and it totally exceeded our expectations. it doesn't feel crowded or cramped at all. fully-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, the MOST COMFORTABLE beds (the kind where you can't even feel the person next to you moving) a spacious living room (with a pull-out sofa bed) and even a mini balcony. there were also 2 bathrooms - one of which had a tub + shower (with 2 shower heads!). everything felt very clean and brand new.

the rates were very reasonable - and i doubt you'll find any other hotel  in downtown vancouver that can offer such a spacious suite at this price range. it's also a great location - with a marketplace right downstairs. the only complaint (from the guys) was that the tv's were too small.

i would definitely stay here again - and take a trip to granville market during the day to take advantage of the kitchen next time.

We stayed here on our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing.  The staff could not have been nicer and more helpful.  The room service was amazing and prompt.  Also, the hotel itself was beautiful, overall one of the best hotel experiences I have had!

Stayed here for 3 nights in March of '09. I found an unbelievably good rate on the Vancouver Visitor website and had to book it. It came out to less than $80 USD per night  The hotel is a small boutique the rooms have beautifully appointed furnishings and design. I think we stayed in a standard room with King size bed. The bathroom was huge, i think it might have made more sense to make the rest of the room a little larger and scale down the bathroom. I'm not sure what kind of mattress or linens they use but I had the BEST sleep of my life for 3 nights.

I just loved this hotel because it had a boutique hotel feel smack in the middle of busy Robson street in downtown Vancouver. The rooms were modern and elegant and very tastefully decorated. The staff were so friendly, courteous and helpful. The location is just minutes from shopping heaven too!

    Super helpful and friendly staff.
    Pet friendly.
    Really comfy bed.
Chocolates with the turn down service (always appreciated!).
Single serving Espresso maker in the room.
    Nice tub.

Really nice lounge with computers and library.

I could go on, but you get the picture. Easy 5 stars.

Look no further, this is the place to stay.  Just came back from a 4-night stay and will return for sure when we visit next.  It's so conveniently located (loved that Starbucks, Korean supermarket, Japadog and Beard's Papa are just across the street) and the rooms are just amazing.  The kitchen is not only gorgeous, but well equipped (they even had a blender!) that we used it quite a bit during our stay.  Absolutely a great find!  Thanks yelp!

I've driven past this boutique hotel, but I always thought it was a condo --- it's both!  It is truly beautiful.  Inside, a large entrance, foyer is covered in marble tile floors and a giant chandelier.Modern and sophisticated furniture and interior design makes this a hot spot for meetings and just to stay there for the night.Inside the suites are high-end stainless steel appliances, some rooms have a balcony, and many rooms have a large living or entertaining area.  The room I saw had a personal French Press in the kitchen, a large LCD screen TV, luxurious bathroom and soft European bedding.  So chic.

I'm an avid fan of boutique hotels, and this is one of the best I've been to in this hemisphere. L'hermitage is classy, fully appointed and is perfectly located in the middle of the down-town area.

To boot, it has some of the best rates for any hotel in town, let alone a hotel of this caliber. Any request we made (for ice, for extra robes, whatever) was fulfilled within minutes, and the front of house staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Raymond for making a great recommendation for dim sum lunch.

A great touch was the robes and slippers included in the room - so luxurious! Make sure to also visit the outdoor pool/jacuzzi - it was gorgeous and perfect way to start a drizzly morning in Vancouver.

Perfect location.  Beautiful hotel.  Friendly, helpful staff.  Excellent rooms with very nice amenities.  Nice lap pool.  Gym is a bit small.  Their French bulldog was so funny, we came upon him just chilling in the halls sometimes.  This level hotel would easily be $300+ per night in SF, so the price was very reasonable.  We will no doubt be staying here again when we go back to Vancouver.

I discovered this hotel in Expedia and am very happy to have found it. I have usually stayed at The Wedgewood, but quite frankly the rates during the summer time are insanely high.

L'Hermitage is a hotel and condo building that opened, I was told, about a year ago. It is in a fine location, with the main entrance on Richards Street just off Robson. I had limited interaction with the staff, but when I did they were pleasant and courteous.

My room was classified as a "deluxe studio" which made me think it would be quite small. On the contrary, it was a reasonable size not dissimilar to the standard hotel room in most American chains. I don't mean this negatively, but there was nothing particularly remarkable about the room. It had a comfy king-sized bed, a small sitting area, and a large flat screen television with a wide selection of satellite channels. The bathroom had a tub and separate shower (with an excellent shower head) and a separate, small room for the toilet, which I always appreciate.

Very tasteful design is carried throughout the property from the lobby to the rooms. Being new, it's not surprisingly very clean and in good repair. The style is modern but not austere with rich earth tones, chrome, glass, and excellent lighting. I was on the sixth floor and passed by some amenities on the fifth floor, such as a small library and an exercise facility with a steam room.

Through Expedia my room charge was $40 less per night than the published rate for a Tuesday/Wednesday stay.

I enjoyed my stay at L'Hermitage and can definitely recommend it to you as a great option when looking for an upscale boutique hotel.
