They said it was really busy today.  Hence no more lettuce for the pork belly and no more shredded cabbage. When we got our pork belly it was about quarter the size than the last time (about 4 months ago), so you had to order more often.

You have to raise your hand now and then to get their attention.
Be politely agressive and you'll get what you need.

Still, have to admit, that it is the better of the Korean BBQ's here when it comes to bang for the buck.

However,,,, the sad note is that they offer much less variety for AYCE now.  About half of what they used to offer.

And these days, when you're older and really shouldn't be stuffing yourself silly,  Go for quality, not quantity and get what you really want to eat.  Afterall it is your hard earned dollars wasting away to the stomach!

You can also go for the regular menu, which is a better choice for overall quality and you'll feel better for it.

Whenever we're craving for Korean bbq, this is the place. Yes, I know the service is not up to our Cdn standards but we're used to it. At least the food arrives accordingly.
We typically order the bbq beef combo for 2 @ $30-something. It comes w/ free appy (like kimchi, beansprouts, etc), soup and rice. They're very good. I don't think there is such thing as unpleasant Korean bbq.
As for paying the bill, we always go up to pay so don't expect for them to come to you. And...they sometimes give you fruits in the end. It's unpredictable.

So...... I came here late one night after 10pm, because I was starving and haven't had dinner.

I like the late night special dinner they had.  Choose from 5 assorted Korean dishes for $25.00.  Okay, besides Korean food, they also had Japanese food. Some of my favourite were the gyoza, chicken teriyaki, short ribs, and sushi.   I also have a weakness for their side dishes (kimchi, potatoes, seaweed, and bean sprouts)

Do you like a burner in the middle of your table? This is the place!

If you are ready to eat alot of meat, and i mean quite a bit, then this is the place for you. Now, I really like Korean Food for 2 reasons. First of these is that I cannot get enough kimchi. I'm not kidding. Second of all, I love very spicy food and plates of it. As for the side dishes (kimchi, potatoes, seaweed, bean sprouts).....they never bring enough. Oddly, this is some of my favourite parts of Korean Food. Anyways, rule number one for me is to remember that when ordering meat, the server can always bring more. We ordered 2 and 3 of quite a few meats and they brought all of it to us. This mistake is not realized until the first platter comes out...everyone laughs. I mostly enjoy this type of service but I then realize that we have set the bar really high for finishing everything.

The quality of the food is pretty standard. I have no qualms or raves about the quality. The seafood pancake is not the best I have ever had, but then again, I remember staring at all the raw meat saying 'what the h are we going to do with all of this?' That might have influenced my feeling about everything else. More kimchi, please?

The service is pretty slow. Most servers seem like they are intentionally ignoring you for some reason. But that aside, the place is good to come to for dinner. I really don't come here for late night, mostly because there are many great places (sushi, hotpot..etc) that I would rather eat at night. Overall, I like this place.

I'm Chinese and love Korean food.  Along with a recommendation, I came here today (on vacay in VAncouver).  Unbelievable ... unbelievable that Koreans put up with this joint!  The meat is hardly marinated, if at all.  Come on, don't mess with our intellect.  And the burner set up is very poor, hardly authentic at all.

I'm not a total hater, the potato kimchee was decent and the pork bone soup was fair.  ... I'm just still so surprised this place exist.  Haha.

    Decent Korean allyoucaneat awesomeness.

The price is $21 per person, but it's not bad.

When they have steak on the menu, they mean steak. The pieces of meat are larger than CDs.  Carnivores, this place is for you.  There are maybe 12 different items on the AYCE menu.  Definitely not the world's greatest, but good enough for most.  You probably won't be ordering all 12 items anyways.

My only complaint is that the sushi selection is rather lacking, and, frankly, not that tasty at all.

A couple of times I went, there was something wrong with the burner, so our food either took a long time to cook, or wouldn't cook at all.  Fortunately, both times they simply swapped our table, no questions asked.

Service is definitely on the slow side, but this is hit or miss.

Coming here for late-nite is definitely a tough sell considering the proximity of other (cheaper) restaurants such as No. 9 and Aji Taro, but if you want a change of pace or just want to eat a ton of meat, this place is for you.

*sigh* Korean BBQ, one of my favorite places to eat.  I stumbled on to this place while i was shopping. this place was big and had a huge menu. "all you can eat" .. can't go wrong with that. I decided to give it a try. the price was about 20 bucks but you get a fair amount of items. from sushi, to awsome Korean side dishes (my fave) to a ton of fresh meats like short ribs, thin steaks, chicken thigh, pork, etc. all marinated in sexy bulgogi sauce! mmm im getting hungry just reviewing this damn place!  anyhoo.. this place is great!

The only reason that i only gave this place 3 stars was because when you leave, you take the smell with you. so before you come here make sure you wear non absorbent clothing or go straight home after dinner ;) don't say i didn't warn you. The service is pretty slow.. even on slow nights..with 6 servers on the floor.... hmmm...  i even had to ask my server 4 times for a glass of water, and some napkins, and some tea.... hmmmm.... i almost went up and got it myself.. sheesh.. oh well. you still get 3 stars.

My wife and I dropped in late on a Saturday night for dinner.  Neither of us were hungry enough to go for the all-you-can eat special so I can't attest to that, but the Pick 5 deal was great!
It was $20 for five items (although the price is apparently going up in the very near future.) We had bibimbap, jijimi, jajamyun,  a BBQ beef and potato vermicelli dish, and a pork soup.  I enjoyed the jijimi and the jajamyun thoroughly.  The potato vermicelli noodles were a little bit too starchy and I can definitely say I have had better.  Nothing was mind-blowing, but it was all quite scrumptious.  For what we paid I felt like we got a great deal.  This is definitely somewhere I will be going to satisfy late night cravings in the future.

The All-You-Can-Eat is not worth it.

I went later night night with a couple of friends who always follow me to places that I pick to eat, and I feel bad that I took them here.

The service is SLOW! It wasn't really that busy, and it was SLOW!

The Korean side dishes that come out were the best part of the meal - taste wise. The selection - and more importantly the quality of meat were both substandard.

I don't want to beat the disappointment horse to death other than to say it wasn't worth the $20 at all and even if it was half that price, I would NOT return!

We love to eat. Today, i had my food in two korean restaurants for today- in my lunch and my late dinner. My husband and I went to this place and it was very good. Very good food, very good price, and not bad for their service =) The ambiance is cozy and relaxing.

If you want to have Korean barbeque, check it out. I highly recommend this one =)

We'll surely go back there soon.

This is the second time I've been here. Last time was dinner and now lunch. Both times the place wasn't packed, but the service always manages to be slow. We called the young hostess over to indicate wd were ready to order, but she just said to wait for our server. Nice. Must be the daughter of the owner as manages to act busy without really helping the staff much. Just goes around holding a phone in one hand. Not much customer support.

Our server finally arrives and is kind and apologetic. We choose the lunch special which gives you a choice of 5 items for $19.99. The items arive one by one within reasonable time.

For the price, taste is okay. Nothing great, but not bad either. The banchan is limited to 3 for lunch and 4 for dinner. There's the basic kimchi, bean sprouts, sweet potato, and seaweed sunomono.

I would suggest when going for the 5-item special, to stick with Korean dishes because they have a few Chinese items like when I ordered deep fried pork in sweet and sour sauce and it really didn't belong here. It was over-cooked and not as crunchy that it was barely touched.

When I'm in the area I'll re-evaluate again and see if cooking has improved as well as service. In the meantime, perhaps it's better to stick to Chinese food when in Richmond.

The food at this place is very reasonable and quite tasty. They serve from the á la carte menu and also have an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ which you grill at your own table. I have never tried their Korean BBQ  but items I've tried from the á la carte menu is very good and very reasonable.

I love Korean BBQ. I pass by this place often and finally tried it despite bad reviews from friends. Now I know why there were bad reviews. We opted not to do all you can eat because hubby and I weren't that hungry. We just ordered from the regular menu. It was a weeknight and quite busy for that. It was the most difficult thing to get service. It took forever to order. It took forever for the food to come. It is for 2 people, not 10. It took the time it took to order plus the time for the food to come to get the bill and pack the food. We were waiting so long for someone to grab the money and give us change that I am pretty sure no one would have noticed if we just walked out of there without paying. My husband went up to the cashier to pay because it took that long so my husband commented on the lack of customer service. Guess what the manager says? No apology, well it's busy. We will never go back and I feel bad I dragged hubby here on the worst Korean BBQ experience ever. I recommend Cho Sun on Kingsway. Better food and better service. If I could rate 0 stars, I would.
