Review from Hilary G.
The owner of this laundromat is quite friendly and I have only had to wait for a machine once in a matter of eight months. To wash a load is $2.25 and you can get change from the owner. To dry your clothes, it's 25 cents for 3 minutes and 45 seconds....so yeah, bring your quarters. And listen to Courtney M. - don't slam the dryer doors or you will draw the ire of the owner. All in all, it's a conveniently located laundromat and it't not a bad place to wait. It would be nice if there were some more up to date magazines though. I haven't had much problem with the dryers getting my jeans dry unless I put too many clothes in one dryer. The washing machines are quite old and will clean your clothes, but don't expect to get any basic stains out without some stain remover spray.

This is an excellent little laundromat if you happen to live in the vicinity of Clyde Street!
The proprietor's are very kindly when you get to know them, although can seem a little rough around the edges initially. Whatever you do, don't slam the dryers! You'd be surprised how ingrained this notion is of needing to slam a dryer, but the man running Kwik Wash will literally look up at you and cringe. There are signs after all on all the machines requesting that you not do so.
Kwik Wash also has a drop service so if you're having a really hectic week and can't find the time to do laundry, there's a service to help you.
I really recommend supporting this local business. For a year and a half I lived two doors down from Kwik Wash and would see the gentleman who owns this store on a daily basis. I once had him jaunt towards me as I cut across the parking lot in front of his shop to pass me a sock I had inadvertently left behind two days prior! What's not to love about that? -

Dryers that don't dry are not good Dryers.
In a lot of ways I didn't really know if I was getting a good deal or not until I went to another Laundromat. Then I found out how much money I was losing by going to Kwik Wash.
First the Owner is a bit of a strange guy. But once you get through his tough exterior, he seems fine. But when I went there, he had one employee who he really didn't treat well. So that put a bad feeling in my stomach.
The Washers work well. But I have never found a Laundromat that didn't have Washers that worked well. So he doesn't get points for that.
The Dryers on the other hand did not work well at all. I would put in enough Quarters for approximately 40 minutes of drying time. My "load" was a pair of Jeans, two towels and the rest were t-shirts and other smaller items. The smaller items got 90% dry but the Jeans and Towels were never dry at the end. Always damp. I asked the owner about it who said that's normal. No Dryer gets jeans dry in 40 minutes. I distinctly remember that my last apartment successfully handled this type of load fairly well. But I thought, "you're the expert" so I agreed with him. Then I went to another Laundromat which actually had the same Dryers. I nearly had a heart attack. After 30 minutes, my jeans and everything were very Dry. I asked them about it, and they said they make sure they clean out their Dryers every day and everything has maintenance done on it all the time to make sure they are working at 100%.
So my point is, you'll lose money going to Kwik Wash Laundromat unless this owner realizes that he needs to put better care into his Dryers. I definitely won't go back.
