Think Gravity Pope meets Naturalizer. Kunitz Shoes carries high-quality brand comfort shoes for men and women, with names such as Clarks, Ecco and Merrell. Shoes for everyday, formal wear, or your next backpacking adventure -- you name it, they probably have it, and in a version that is less likely to give you blisters "to boot!" Get it? Ok, that was a bit cheesy ...
But seriously, I was impressed with the selection. You may think that comfort shoes are boring and ugly, but Kunitz carries shoes that are both attractive AND comfortable. This may mean that women (myself included) can no longer hide behind the old excuse that pretty shoes weren't meant for comfort!
They have quite the collection of ladies' boots right now, on sale from the previous season. Definitely worth a stop if you are looking for a new pair of quality leather boots. I like that their boots are cute but still practical, not overly done or flashy. Everything is leather as far as I know, both real and synthetic.
The staff were also helpful and friendly, making sure all patrons were taken care of. I was impressed how attentive they were with the customers. -

What a wonderful store, with WONDERFUL staff. Prices are on the higher end but thats what it costs for quality. The boots are stylish as well as practical. I have gotten so many complements on the boots I purchased because they were young looking, with a decent sturdy heel as well as ultra comfortable.
I recommend Kunitz to everyone. I know a lot of people think it's for the older generation, but I really loved what I found there! -

The staff at Kunitz shoes are extremely helpful (no sales pressure) and the selection of "comfort" shoes is extensive. Not many stores specialize in comfort shoes (hardly any), even though many of us require them for our daily lives. The shoes are expensive but that is because they are built to protect your feet and last a really long time. My shoes have been all over the world, they have been soaked in water, thrown around in luggage, and have walked countless trails yet they look at feel like new!
Most important of all: Not one callous or blister!Listed in: The Best of Edmonton

I was in the area today and saw this shoe store and decided to check it out. At first I thought it would be geared mostly towards women but it had a nice selection for guys too.
Most of the shoes here go for comfort over looks but to be honest I thought some of them were pretty fashionable. Most of their shoes are made by the Merrell brand which I had never heard of but apparently they make some of the greatest performance shoes around. They had cool shoes that weren't clunky or unnecessary looking. They looked pretty awesome and were comfortable, I may have to go back. -

Kunitz Shoes is not your typical shoe store.
They specialize in "comfort" shoes. They have a huge selection of comfort shoes - some are actually very stylish.
I really appreciate a store like this because I know the importance of comfortable shoes! I've worked in in the restaurant industry and it is crucial to take care of your feet!
The staff is really smiley and friendly. They are extremely knowledgeable and willing to help out in any way they can.
I think they have competitive pricing. They aren't cheap but they aren't overpriced. But when it comes down to it, how can you put a price on comfort?!
