I FOUND THE SECRET INGREDIENT!!! ITS CRACK!!!! This stuff is more addictive than drugs....I would drive from toronto in a RENTAL CAR (I live in toronto why would I own a care) to get these donuts...

It makes me sad this is the only location that makes Krispy Kreme because it is soooo good.

CHOO CHOO NEXT STOP MY THIGHS (but oh how worth it, it is)

$7.99/dozen (ORIGINAL Dont bother with anything else)
    second dozen save $2

The methamphetamine of the donut world.  I go here exactly twice a month, to get a box of donuts for my office on payday.

Seriously, you get the donuts, eight seconds in the microwave, and you have a mouthful of heaven.  Yum.

I feel guilty for how much I enjoy them.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, can I say yum yum yum!!

I'm so addicted to these great little doughnuts from heaven, however this is the only location and the original store in Ontario. It is well worth the drive for me, I just cant get enough of these delicious things!

Either consume the original glaze ones when they're hot in the store or microwave them at home. I'm serious. They're passable at room temperature, but Tim's is on par--and better than the few flavored Krispy Kremes I've tried. And if you try the original glazed at room temp, you'll wonder what the fuss is about.

But when warmed, the original glazed undergo a mystical transformation. They transcend ordinary donut-ness and the ascend into a realm all their own. They melt in your mouth like sugary bites of purest heaven--ultimate bliss in donut form. There is nothing quite like a warm Krispy Kreme.

Given that, unless you have truly superhuman willpower, I strongly suggest only buying one (or however many you are willing to consume), because it is pretty hard to walk away from the magical ecstasy that is a warm and fresh Krispy Kreme original glaze, should one be foolhardy enough to get half a dozen or a dozen. Danger!

It has been years since I had one, but we went today because of a recent Fab Find offer (free half dozen). Yes--they are as good as ever. The only other thing I can suggest is that if you go, just make the resolution to be in the moment, to savour every bite, and to enjoy with no regrets.

    Dear Krispy Kreme,

I know I wasn't a great friend when you first came to town.
I know I promised to show you a good time, and introduce you to my friends.
I'm sorry we didn't go on picnics in the park and I didn't even take you to work.
I'm sorry we parted ways when I got health conscious and you thought you were no longer loved.

    I should have been there.
I should have loved you the way you so deserve.

I realize now how loveable you truly are.
You haunt me in my dreams.
    You lickable, warm, soft, lard-ass.

Please come back in my life. I promise I'll make the effort to see you often. Just don't ever change.

Why Krispy Kreme donuts never fully got off the ground in Toronto, I'll never know. Maybe in a world of vegans and health fanatics, a perfect circle of sugary lard wasn't that appealing? Regardless, if you ever take the joy ride out to Mavis Rd to their flagship factory then you are in for a gluttonous treat.

There is a box of these delicious O's sitting in my kitchen right now and I just ate 4 of them in one sitting. Nuke them for 8 seconds and you'll think you're eating the seed of our Saviour. It's life altering (and with that much sugar and carbs, also life ending).

To answer Jon's question why Krispy Kreme has largely failed in Ontario (a province with a donut shop on nearly every other corner) with, arguably, the best tasting donuts on the freakin' planet one needs to consider not the donuts but the coffee. Tim Hortons actually does most of its trade in take out coffee. Donuts are kind of a side business. Kripsy Kreme's coffee, unfortunately, is watery dirt (not that Tim Hortons coffee is better IMHO).

Krispy Kreme also, unfortunately, likes to make a big deal about the huge lines that form on opening day without realizing it forever imprints on people the idea Krispy Kreme isn't a place you can drop by and pick up a quick cuppa.

This appears to be the sole remaining instance of a small clutch of Krispy Kremes that entered Ontario a decade ago. The store is your classic setup: when the light is on they're cookin' up the original glazed. You can watch those little puppies coming off the conveyor belt hot 'n' fresh.

The Kreme Dizzle seems to have ended the long tradition of comping you an original glazed as they come fresh off the conveyor.

Anyway, my suggestion is get yourself a Tim Hortons take out (or Second Cup which is right across the street) and then get a couple donuts here and enjoy both.

    Ontario's Krispy Kreme head quarters.

I'm a fan. I remember the big craze years ago.

Since then the chain scaled back operations in Ontario. The Mississauga location is where it all started. We visited last weekend I reminisce of the times of  waiting in the long drive thru line  and when you get the goods stuffing four fresh doughnuts in your mouth.

Seeing a waterfall of sugar is disturbing but at the same time delightful.

I happened to stop here just as they were baking doughnuts and got a hot fresh doughnut right off the line. I love how tasteful the doughnuts are, to the point and exactly what you expect.

The servers were friendly and there was no line. I wish they had a set time for baking doughnuts each day so it would be easier to get them fresh.

If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping for a doughnut but don't over indulge.

Yum yum yum. They give you free warm donuts. I used to buy 2 dozens and eat them in a few days(not alone, but I ate most of them). I could eat 6 donuts without drinking something :) ahah Now that I live in Edmonton, I can't get Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Tim Hortons Honey Dip donut is an alternative, but it just isn't tasty and fresh like Krispy Kreme.
