We LOVE Koutoukis. We think that it is one of the best restaurants in Edmonton. It is super casual and the service is quick. The last time we went we had the Fatoush salad, Ouzo Prawns, broiled Calamari,
Dolmades, hummus and pita, chicken thighs with rice pilaf, lamb skewers and baklava for dessert.
The salad was fresh and perfectly seasoned. The crunchy pitas were so good. The Ouzo prawns were sweet and not over done. My niece and nephew were fighting over the calamari, while I quietly gobbled up the dolmades, hummus and pita (so fresh and soft!). The chicken and lamb were perfectly trimmed and so delicious!!.... not a bit of fat or gristle to mar the experience. I'm not sure how I had room for baklava, but somehow I did...
Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was friendly and fast. We make a point of going to Koutouki when we visit Edmonton. -

I LOVE Greek food so for my 25th birthday we decided to check out Koutouki and it was so adorable. Very Mediterranean. We went on a Thursday night so it wasn't very busy, but I have been told on the weeks this place just packed. They have belly dancers and plate smashing, really different good time. We went with a group of 7 and had great service. I want to say that I started with the Broiled Halloum, which I think was the broiled cheese? Whatever it was called it was delicious. I ordered the chicken souvlaki as my main dish. My fiance and his best friend decided to split Yianni's Meze which is basically for $36 per person you sample about a dozen different dishes, from dips & salads, vegetables, meat & fish. I tried little bits from their dishes and each were very tasty and authentic.
Only thing was that the building was a little hard to find off Gateway and also when I called to make reservations there are apparently two Koutouki's that used to be owned by the same person but I guess they aren't anymore? I'm not sure how that is going to effect either restaurant, but it was a great choice for my birthday! -

We have been to this restaurant a few times and I would consider it the best out of 4 or 5 Greek places we have tried in Edmonton. Lots of room and very friendly staff. The meals are decently priced and always well prepared. They cater to groups well and service is quick and well managed. Definitely a place worth trying and we will be back.

This place is disgusting. The chairs, table, and utensils were vomit inducing. The service was atrocious. The food caused severe poisoning, which isn't surprising seeing how dirty everything was. This place is not worthy of a review.

For a city of its (modest) size and sophistication, my hometown of Edmonton has a wealth of good Italian and Greek restaurants.
Maybe that's because most of the Greek restaurants in Edmonton are owned by the Psalios family, Koutouki on Gateway Blvd being the latest. While its big-city prices may not be reflected in the décor, they make a good case for it with the food.
Our group each had the bountiful mezé, essentially a smorgasbord of Greek appetizers designed for grazing (and sharing). The menu says "take your time and enjoy your Meze 'Siga-Siga' or slowly, slowly," but it seemed to come fast and furious, and by the time the potatoes and lamb came at the end, they felt like mains.
Even with four of us, we couldn't pack it all away, leaving some food on the table and taking still more home.
All in all, we were well supped, making for a memorable feast with friends. -

If you're craving Greek food-- this is the place to be!
Fabulous food, amazing service, entertainment. What more could you ask for?
Every time I go here I get "Yianni's Meze." It is made for 2 or more people, and it is a multi-course dinner. It starts with salads and dips, paired with pita and the moves on to potato, rice, chicken, lamb and seafood platters.
I have always been impressed by the service and the food. The price is up there, which is why I don't go there as much as I would like, but as special occasions go - this is the place.
I have also heard that sometimes a belly dancer will make her way through the dinning room from table to table and sometimes plates get broken.
I haven't seen the spectacle myself, but I continue to go back for the impeccable service and food. -

Just not good enough.
My family visited Koutouki on family day for supper. After being greeted into an empty restaurant we order our "usual" chicken dish. After being surprised that they substituted some kind of vegetable for the standard greek salad, eating the meal which was "average" at best, then getting the bill, I'm done with Koutouki. It's pretty good food, but not good enough value. There are many better restaurants in Edmonton. -

I had not been to Koutouki since they changed ownership and if my service Saturday night was any indication of how things are now run I will not be returning. We went for dinner for my husband's birthday hoping for an enjoyable experience and instead were met with the slowest service I have had anywhere in a long time. It took around 30 minutes for everyone at our table to receive our drinks. Dinner took another hour on top of that. Two of our friends order a appetizer sampler for $56 dollars and received only half of what they ordered. When they asked out server if the rest would be coming she said yes but never came back with anything. Throughout the entire night we saw our server 4 times, once to take our drink orders, once to take our food orders, once to drop off the food and then to receive our bills. We were never asked if we wanted more beverages, if our food was okay, nothing. Also when our bills finally came so did the remainder of our friends sample platter but it was cold. They informed our server that they would not be paying the full price for their platter because they did not receive it all. Our server then argued with them saying they had to pay for the entire platter because it was made. When asked to speak to the manager she informed us that he was too busy to talk to us. Because of this terrible service I will never return to this location for Greek food. Instead I will go to Yiannis on Whyte Ave, where maybe it is hard to find parking on the weekend but at least I know I will receive good service.

My friend recently had her stagette here. It was so much fun! If you plan to go, you must do so on a weekend when there's belly dancing and the whole family (the staff) get involved in the fun. If you get up to dance they'll pour ouzo down your hatch, holding a cloth napkin at your bottom lip so you don't spill. A classy touch! The food's delicious and plentiful, especially if you order the Mezza as a group, which consists of multiple courses, from meat and potatoes, and dolmadas, to dip platters, spinach pies, and lots of other Greek specialties. We had more food than we could possibly eat! It's about $35 a head, which is a bit steep, but it's a good option if you have a big party, so the ordering is swift and easy for both servers and guests. The dinner got us well on the way by the time our limo arrived to take us to our next destination.
