Review from Louise G.
We've been here a few times in the past and visited again recently for my daughters birthday - her choice.
We do enjoy the food even though we barely know what it is we are eating or the correct method of ordering and sadly the menu doesn't offer much enlightenment in terms of a suitable quantity of food to order if you are selecting meat dishes to barbeque on an individual basis.
They do have several bbq combos that are recommended for a certain number of people but when we have ordered those we find we end up with way too much food.
On our last visit, we ordered the combo suggested for 2-3 people even though there were 4 of us adults. We liked the type of selection available in that combo and decided to go for that and supplement it with an appetizer.
Our waitress tried to be helpful in suggesting most emphatically that we should order the next size of combo and we tried to be as polite as possible in explaining why it was we'd picked that particular meal. After a short and confusing conversation she took our order as we wanted it.
We aren't well versed in the various condiments and ingredients that come to the table. I generally use the lettuce leaves as a wrap and fill it with bbq'd meat and condiments. Not 100% sure that is what is meant to be done but I enjoy it.
Also, the potato pieces which come cold and pickled? were so good we devoured them almost instantly. Another dish was offered and quickly appeared and at that point we decided to try bbq'ing them along with our meat, seafood, garlic, onions and mushrooms. Another waitress walked by our table and commented how she'd never tried doing that with the potato before so I am supposing it isn't the traditional way of serving it but it certainly added another dimension to something that was already very enjoyable. I'm glad we were able to show them something new!
All in all, a very enjoyable meal. We will continue visiting there as we really do enjoy it and I'm sure we will learn more as we go along.
