Took my toddlers here recently and I was immediately impressed at how open the space seemed.  You can basically see wherever your kids are at any time as opposed to some other play centres where they could be in a different part of the structure and be completely out of sight - a big PLUS.  There was ample seating for adults, and their gates were closed and shut so wandering toddlers couldn't wander out.  We were there for a birthday party and the food as as good as food gets in these activity centres.

The only negative we encountered was as soon as our time was up, they rushed us out of our room and cleaned up, but I noticed no one using it after we had left.  Overall, the best thing about this place is how open, spacious and bright this centre is - definitely one of the better ones we've been to (and we've been to many!).

We recently had my daughter's 6 birthday party at Koko's.  Let me start by saying that my daughter had her 4th birthday party at Koko's as well, so this was not a first time booking for us.  However, between that booking two years ago and this one, things have changed dramatically.

The first time around, a choice of hot dog or mini pizza with a juice box was included in the price, as was a goodie bag for the birthday child and at least one ride token per guest.  This time around, food is no longer included in the booking price.  On the website, Koko's explains that they made this change to give parents "more options" for food choices; however, I think it's pretty obvious that this is is simply a way to gauge people and to make as much money as they possibly can.

I was deeply disappointed with this "new option" and had my daughter not had her heart set on having her party at your establishment again, and had I not already agreed to it before looking into it, I absolutely would not have booked with Koko's.

I did some comparison shopping and you may be interested in the results:

Crash Crawlies = $109 for first 8 kids
    This price includes:

       90 minutes of playground time
45 minutes in a party room with party leader
Pizza or hotdog with juice or pop
       4 complimentary drinks for parents
       1 bowl of popcorn
       Free party invitations
A gift for the birthday child

Had we chosen Crash Crawlies, our booking would have cost us: $109.00

Go Bananas = $12 per child, minimum 6 kids
    This price includes:

Unlimited play time for the kids.
1  1/2 hours in our party room.
FREE GIFT for the Birthday Child.
Each child receives a hot dog, juice box & a fruit snack.
       Staff clean-up of your party.
Party's may also bring in their OWN FOOD.

Had we chosen to have our party at Go Bananas, our booking would have cost us:  $72.00

As you can see, Koko's is extremely over-priced and don't offer much in return comparatively speaking.  However, Koko's is bright, spacious and is MUCH quieter than Crash Crawlies or Go Bananas.

When we arrived, we had to wait nearly ten minutes for the host or whomever was at the front desk to get organized, assist other guests in signing in and out, and generally get his act together before we could even get in.  Finally, I had to ask for another staff member to let us and our guests in!  The floors were sticky and disgusting, as was the washroom.  Both of the tablecloths in the party room were torn and had large holes in them.  I certainly didn't expect a brand new table cloth but at the very least not two that were ripped and torn before we even got there.

Generally speaking, we were very disappointed in the changes that have occurred at Kokos and with our experience on the whole. I feel that as a parent, spending $177 for a child's birthday party for 6 children is quite excessive.  The icing on the cake, so to speak, was the "tip" option upon settling my bill. Tip?  For what?  Cutting a cake?  I could have done that myself for free!

Of course, no one forced me to have a party at Koko's, but I can safely say that I feel I have been taken advantage of, ripped off and was extremely disappointed.  We will not be returning. Their fees are exorbitant, and the include next to nothing in their booking price.  It's simply not worth it.  Yes, my daughter and her friends had a great time and lots of fun; however, they would have had just as much fun at Crash Crawlies or Go Bananas.

If you have a toddler, then likely you would have heard of this place.  It's an activity centre for kids.

It's loud, and full of screaming kids.

Giant slides, merry-go-round rides and miniature car rides.  There is also a mini restaurant, similar to something you can find at Costco.

You can book a room at this place for a private party and you are assigned a private coloured room, with benches and a couple of giant tables.

Generally speaking, if you hold a birthday party, you are not allowed outside food.  You have to eat theirs.  It's ummmmm......not so good, so be warned.

This place is for playing, nothing else.  You don't come here to enjoy the food, you're doing it for the kids.

The Little Munchkin was invited to a birthday party out in Port Moody at this indoor playcentre. He had a blast! There's a giant indoor climbing structure, a small toddler area, a big slide that has three slides side by side (good for racing your friends down!), a small movie area, a restaurant and an eating area and separate party rooms, as well as an adults only upper area with easy chairs and newspapers.
Each child has to be signed in and tagged with the matching tag worn by the parent, and the entrance and exit is locked to prevent anyone small from escaping.. provides peace of mind especially if you lose sight of your child.
Food is okay - hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, grilled cheese - I wouldn't come for the food, although it's included with the party. Play is what it's all about. I will definitely return here again.
