Review from Megan S.
I used to bounce around from hair salon to hair salon constantly - I'd meet a new stylist, maybe hit it off maybe not, get mostly crappy hair cuts, pay too much then rebound to a new place. It made me hate getting my hair cut and I'd end up putting it off for too long.
Eventually it was time to try Kokopelli's and I was booked with Shaunn - that was over 3 years ago and he's been doing my hair ever since. He's super personable and great at what he does. Asia's also really good; I've seen her while Shaunn's been away on tour and my husband sees both Asia and Shaunn depending on availability.
Aside from the staff, the greatest thing about this place is the lack of pretension - nobody here acts like they're cooler than you, or that you should be grateful that they even let you onto their premises *cough cough AXIS...cough*. The place is decorated with lots of wood and plants and it gives it a really warm, relaxing vibe.
Prices are great too - quite a bit less than you'd pay downtown. I totally recommend this place if you're looking for a great haircut from some awesome folks. -

Finding a good hairdresser is a daunting and sometimes traumatizing task (see my knotty boy review).. finding an excellent hairdresser who listens to exactly what you want and asks enough questions to not make the mistake of ruining your head topping face framer is next to impossible it seems..
but...
I found the one!
Shhhhh, her name is Asia, but don't hog her. I'll be back regularly.Listed in: Greatest Hits, Alive on the Drive

After 5 long months of growing out my last bad haircut, I was very very VERY nervous about letting anyone get near my hair with scissors.
Lucky for me I found Kelly. She actually listens to what you ask for. She took the time to explain why I can't have the bangs I lust for (stupid cowlick) and she gave me the exact haircut I asked for.
She was fun to chat with and made me look gorgeous. I will definitely be back. -

I really like the hair cuts I've been given given here. I usually had Celina, but when she was on mat leave I had Erin. They were both excellent. I think the prices are good for the quality, it would be more across town or downtown. I always make an appointment, but my friend got in without one (weekday).
