Review from Ellis M.

Surprised at all these bad reviews! Our food was delicious for dinner (chat samosa for appetizer, Lamb masala for my boyfriend, veggie vindaloo for me). It was spicy and flavorful and the bread was especially delicious (plain naan and puri). The place was sadly empty when we arrived and nobody else came while we were eating. Prices are reasonable. Portions are huge. Only problem was the service. Seemed a bit disorganized and was a little slow, but friendly enough.

This is only a review of their dessert.
It was 9-something and I had a wicked craving for some kheer. Having not really liked the kheer at Maharaja a few nights before, I decided we needed to find it at another one of Niagara's many Indian dining options, but everything that was still open was poorly rated on Yelp. So I picked Kohinoor, as it was easily walkable from our hotel.
We came in and the place was deserted, except for a girl and her father waiting for some take out. We ordered some kheer as well as gajar ka halwa and about five minutes later we had our take out bag. With a ginger ale, the desserts came to 11 or so dollars.
Got back to the hotel to find that they hadn't included plastic utensils like one should get with takeout, but that's ok, our hotel provided them for us. Dug into the kheer and it was not as sweet as I was hoping for it to be. I added some sugar, but it still didn't do very much for it. Boyfriend ate his gajar ka halwa and saved some for breakfast in the morning, but he didn't seem too impressed. I think he was too busy missing his mother's dish but then again, nothing is as good as home cooking.
So-so, really.Listed in: Love: A Food Story, Niagara Falls, NY

After reading all the reviews I was little hesitant to go to this place. But hey! Everyone gets a second chance - first of all the food was not that bad! Both breakfast and lunch was reasonably good! Will visit again!

Walked in, walked out... all of 3 minutes.
Curry rush was great upon entrance, but the vibe was cold. Buffet was not worth standing in line for, kids poking their fingers in the food.

Went here with my boyfriend while vacationing at the Falls. We walked in around 6ish on a Friday night and the place was dead empty. We raised our eyebrows at one another, but knew there was no going back. We were STARVING. The lady who seated us and waited on us did so with the kind of disdain you would reserve for the drunken transient who just urinated all over your doorstep - not the kind of attitude normally bestowed upon paying customers. Like, oh, sorry we had the GALL to INCONVENIENCE you by walking into your restaurant at 6 PM ON A FRIDAY NIGHT. WHAT WERE WE THINKING.
The menu had typical Indian restaurant-fare, but someone had gone through and crossed out all the prices with marker and increased them by two dollars. You stay classy, Kohinoor Fine Indian Cuisine!
My boyfriend enjoyed his Chicken Makhani but my Chicken Tikka Masala wasn't very good and not at all like I've had it at other restaurants. Bottom line: if you're craving Indian in Niagara Falls, try anywhere else. Don't "inconvenience" this place with your money.Listed in: Oh Hell No, Chicken Tikka Mmmmmmasala

Waste of money, ordered Paneer dish, it was not well done.
only good thing is it's not that expensive and can get both South Indian and North Indian food.
DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY! -

Horrible place for Indian food. Food was tasting so bad. Idlies were hard as rock and sambar had no salt in it. I would want them to remove South Indian from their menu. They served cold food as lunch buffet. Buffet they informed idli is included but later they charged for each item and behaved so rudely. Please avoid this place. I want to give zero rating!!!

Ok, this review is about the general impression and Not about food at all.
Upon entering the restaurant, the first impression was that WOW its too hot in here! I couldn't breathe...I thought it was just me...it wasn't. The place was jam-packed with people, but thats not saying much as the place itself is small.
We were greeted by a lady - most likely the proprietor. She offered our party of 4 a seat, but we said we'd rather take a look at the buffet first. We took a look at the buffet and were not impressed at all. The only reason I'm giving this place a one-star is because the lady at least offered us the option of ordering a la carte....
We ended up going to Maharajah across the street. You can read my review for that restaurant on their page... -
