I've not been in many churches in my life but I was in this one for a wedding ceremony and was surprised by it's size and rich history.
The church is located on a small piece of land across from Ottawa City Hall on busy Elgin Street and they've done a great job of keeping their grounds very manicured and suitable for photography and small outdoor events.
The building is about 80 years old and although it feels historic when you're inside it doesn't seem to show it's age.
The entrance is actually off of Lisgar and the one on Elgin Street doesn't appear to be used anymore. The courtyard to the south of the building is great for greeting or meeting people after the service or ceremony as we did that day.
I've gone past this place a few times in the spring and summer and noted that they use this area for small bizarres and strawberry social type events.
