Kits Billiards is great pool hall. If you're in the mood for a casual night out and enjoy pool, I would definitely recommend it. The tables aren't the best for you die hard pool fans, but are totally adequate for friendly games.
There is cheap, decent beer and really nice staff, plus some standard pub fare. It's not open as late as I'd like, but of the few pool halls in Vancouver, it's my favourite.
And the liquor laws are good again- you can bring beer to your table!Listed in: After Hours

The drinks are decently priced and are generously poured =) My kind to venue! I'm not the greatest pool player but it's nice to be in an environment where you're entertainment isn't solely reliant on the drinks. I'm not going to lie, I had the poutine a few months ago and haven't eaten here since, but I really want to say that it was a one off experience since my partner's never had any issue with any of the food he's eaten here. I've heard good things about the souvlakia so I'll be giving that a shot the next time I go in.
The service is awesome, it's really nice when the staff actually makes an effort to get to know you on a first name basis and definitely makes the entire experience worth repeating.
The client base is really diverse in age, despite being 22 I have to say that I do prefer going there during the times when it's only 30+ in the place. I don't know why but it seems like there are a lot of courtesy skills lacking from the young men in my age group... -

There aren't a lot of decent places to go play pool in Kits, let alone an ENTIRE pool hall. Located on Broadway and Trutch/Blenheim you'd almost miss if it you walked by at night.
Your run-of-the-mill deep fried pub fair, and a fairly palatable beer selection make this a great place for a pitcher and some pool. If you're not there for the pool there's also a bar/patio area that you can watch most, if not all international soccer matches.
They have a jukebox, but unless Dance Mix 95 and/or Rush is your thing, save your money for the chicken strips. All in all, it's grime gives it a bit of character and it's location can't be beat. Great prices monday-thursday, with a bit of a bump in prices (for pool tables) friday - sunday. -

I've been looking for some places to play pool on some regulation size tables where you don't have to sit on the table next to yours to make your next shot. It's also helpful if the cues are straight...
Kits Billiards actually meets all the above criteria...throw in some uncensored hip hop, reasonably priced drinks and hourly rate on the tables and we have a winner.
They also have some faux leather seating in a "lounge area"of sorts surrounded by several flat screen tv's showing sports basically....
Three of us went there on a Saturday night (10pm)and were able to get onto a table within 20 mins (first on the waitlist).
Worth a visit or 10... -

This is a café with pool tables. The primarily Greek food is great. The tables have been newly finished with red felt and are more or less level. The servers are attentive and friendly.
A good place to watch hockey and soccer. The music has too much rap for me but then any rap is too much for me. Keith's on tap and a good selection of liquor.
Clientele are of all ages. A place where you can bring your pre-teen daughter for a game or two. Gets pretty busy around 8. I wistfully remember the smoke filled rooms of yore filled with rounders, hustlers and the underemployed but sadly those days are gone. This place, however, is a pleasant enough replacement. -

Totally a hole in the wall. Cheap beer, cheap food. Great place to play pool or catch the game. Staff treats you like family.

I've been going to this Kits ball hall for as long as I can remember. It used to be a low key place with great Brunswick billiard tables. I went the other night with a couple of friends to play cut throat. We weren't allowed to drink our beers at the table anymore. They had redecorated the place with gansta tag murals and had the tv's blaring with extreme fighting matches on. I ordered the regular lamb souvlaki which had huge chunks of fat in it. It was gross. We left early and I dropped $25 for my share of the bill. What a ripoff! Avoid this sleazy joint like the plague. I can't even say that it is a former shadow of itself, it's worse than that!

Very casual & friendly. Didn't eat, but saw old time grill and no micro-wave--bonus! Will go back for pool or sports TV!
