The last time I was Kiss and Makeup was a few years ago. If memory serves me, they were half the size and only carried make up and some accessories.
Then, I thought, meh, it's not like I'd go out of my way to come visit. But now, it's different. Larger, brighter, and well stocked, this little boutique not only carries make up, they also carry two of my favourite brands: Frye boots and Free People clothing.
They even have Frye boots for babies. YES! That's right. $50 soft, little leather cowboy like boots that I would give to anyone in a heartbeat. Gotta get those kids started on the right foot :p
Prices are a little dear, but then again this is West Vancouver and brands like these are generally a little rich. Oh, and ask, and you shall receive. They have a lot of stuff, and some of it's located under eye level on shelves below etc, or tucked around corners, as was the case of the very specific Spanx I was after. -

Kiss & Makeup...oh why oh why did you have to scorn me....I have never been treated so poorly in all my retail adventures...the girls that work at this store really seem to have the pretentious West Vancouver attitude down to a fine art....being that I work in the cosmetic industry and I love me a little boutique full of great hard to find brands, I was sure that I would love Kiss & Makeup...well apparently I thought wrong...
I was not greeted as I entered the very small store..not like they can miss a 6'4 gay guy...and when I asked a few questions about whether or not they carried a certain brand, I was responded to with a " ummmm we only carry brands that are unique and worth our investment, maybe try London Drugs"..ummmm....ok...beeotch...first of all..the brand I was looking for was something I bought in Paris so she likely didn't know what it was..second of all..I rather like London Drugs..and thirdly..Cargo and Principessa are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not unique..in fact they suck..so there..
I say skip it....it you want to be treated poorly I could think of far more exciting place then this crap hole..Listed in: Just Skip It

If you plan on going to visit Kiss & Makeup, I highly recommend you set aside some serious time to peruse the beauty products offered by this North Shore store.
Kiss & Makeup carries a wide range of Canadian and international labels, including Bumble and Bumble, Cargo, Ren, Sue Devitt, Fresh, Lippmann Collection, Principessa, and Linacare.
This is where girls in the know go, too, for a great little collection of accessories and apparel. -

A boutique make-up and beauty supply shop, this is the only place in Vancouver that I know carries REN. Which is the only skin care line anyone should put on their face. You can also find very trendy things Hollywood stars wear, like the latest perfumes, jewellery, hats, bags and things for babies. They carry exclusive lines from Europe and Japan, including Kiss Me mascara, cashmere blankets, Stila, Fresh, Cargo, Linacare et al. Very trendy, high-priced goodness. Who ever said being beautiful came cheap?
