    I LOVE YOU KISAMOS!

It's a small, casual place with great sized portions for what you pay. I freaking love the Spanikopita, and for someone who really dislikes hummus, I can say they make a damn good chickpea dip mothertruckers.

My parents love this place. My boyfriend loves this place. I love this place.

Food is always satisfying and tasty. There are gargantuan portions of pure Greek goodness. Price is average Greek restaurant ($15-$30). Ambience is very family oriented.

If you're reading reviews on it, you must be wondering if you should go to Kisamos. I say YES, go ahead. Go!

Okay I may have been spoiled by Five Columns in Bellingham, but of all the greek places in the lower mainland this has to be my favourite. Honestly - it puts all the others to shame. The huge portions may be a bit much (they really should halve the size of what they give you) but the quality is top notch, and the tastes are amazing. Service was great every time we've been. Will for sure go again!

Doesn't look the classiest but the food is damn tasty, not expensive at all, and the portions are freaking HUGE.  Good spanakopita, good roast lamb, good calamari.  What else do you need from a greek place?  I paid 25$ for a main and an an appetizer and had enough food left over for a full meal the next day.

Came here after a long hiatus from Greek food and this place did not disappoint in bringing back the love and taste for authentic Greek cuisine. Came here on the long weekend and it was packed! Sat outside the restaurant on a bench with lovely weather and we were seated in 20mins.

The calamari appy ($10) came quite quickly considering how busy it was. It was battered lightly for a nice crunch and the squid inside was so soft and tender! The tzatziki sauce here is absolutely delightful.. best I ever had!

I ordered the chicken slovakia ($14). A full length skewer size of tender chicken with lots of pilaf, potato and Greek salad. My friend had the roast lamb ($18). I'm not a fan of lamb, but this lamb was made perfectly! Fall off the bone, tender and the meat wasn't too gamey like other lamb dishes I've tried.

Friendly and efficient service considering all the people. Lots of parking. And after you're belly's all full, take a lovely walk around Steveston's historic fishing town!

Summary: A welcome change from the expensive fish restaurants on the water.

Came to Steveston with a friend. Were hungry for lunch but I was dreading paying $$ for a fish meal. Luckily, my friend recommended this place. We were seated, got water and ordered all without fuss or unnecessary delay. The server was mindful of my emptying water glass.

My friend's lamb souvlaki looked appetizing. My shrimp wrap was filling and satisfying. I was pleasantly surprised with the touch of avocado in my wrap. Nothing fancy but that's what I liked about it as compared to the $$ I'd've paid at the fish restaurants on the water.

All in all, inexpensive, simple and pleasant food, nice selection on menu, relaxed vibe. Will definitely keep this place in mind next time I'm in Steveston.

Although a small, older restaurant, the food speaks for itself. The lamb, calamari, tzatziki and hummus do not disappoint.

Gets crowded quite quickly - especially on weekends or holidays - so make reservations or arrive early.

In the heart of Steveston Village, this is a place you can't wrong with this restaurant. It's a good sized restaurant, but it can get very busy on weekend nights.

Calamari is also a great choice, a large portion, with a side of Greek salad, with fresh tomatoes and cucumber and feta. Also comes with pita, rice, potatoes and  tzatiki sauce too!

Moussaka is also very tasty, also with a side of Greek salad and pita. Delicious bechamel sauce, with layers and layers of eggplant. This is a favourite of mine.

Roast lamb is tender and flavourful, and also, a large portion with pita and Greek salad.

A casual environment, good service, and large portions of good food. Come try it, you won't be disappointed!

the portions are HUGE!!! I ordered roasted lamb, asked for smaller rice and less oil... but ending up seeing lots of grease and big portion of rice :-(

the lamb was VERY HUGE and tasty :-) but as you can see the picture that I posted, I left the fat behind because I don't eat fats :-)

Also, I only ate 1/4 of rice, and 1/4 of potato... just too much carb. The salad was okay, asked the dressing to be on the side, healthier that way.

I won't go there unless my friend takes me to there etc because I don't think its very a good place for "healthy" oriented person like me. However, once a while, is alright.

Great value!  From Richmond residents, you can skip the trek to Sepho's in Vancouver and get large portions with a shorter wait here!

We had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a table on a Friday night.  The prices are very reasonable (souvlaki, moussaka, and spanakopita meals are all around $12-$13 each) and I was stuffed afterwards!

I was a bit surprised that the pita that came was not complimentary - we had an extra $1 charge on the bill for it.

Otherwise, everything was as expected.  Shared the fried chese appy to start - not really worth the money, but tasty.  Hubby had the spanakopita meal with potatoes and Greek salad.  He thought it was OK - he found it a bit too spinachy though.  I loved my moussaka meal which came with rice and Greek salad.

Service is fine for a casual restaurant.  Overall great value!

My family went to the restaurant to celebrate Mother's Day. The food was pretty good but the entire time we were there, it felt like the waiters were trying to shoo us out. In a way, I understand; we were a large group with 2 babies but if large parties are unwelcome, don't accept our reservation.

Would I go back? Eh, only if someone else wanted to. The restaurant is very small, smaller than most coffee shops and the seating isn't the most comfortable. Parking can be difficult, especially during busy times (which is a "duh" statement, I know). There's just not enough pluses to make me choose it.

This isn't the first time I've eaten here nor will it be my last.  Kisamos Taverna, located on Moncton street in Steveston is a family style Greek restaurant.  Location is probably its best feature but nonetheless it's a great casual and affordable place to eat. Portions are huge so consider sharing. I had the deep-fried calamari diner which included rice, potatoes, and Greek salad! needless to say I took more than half of my meal home in a doggy bag. My friend opted for the roast lamb diner which was equally large.  We both had a couple of drinks and the bill came out to $50 including tax & tip. Not too shabby!  In conclusion, if your trying to impress someone Kisamos may not necessarily be your first choice to knock their socks off but it's great for a cheap, comfortable and relaxed setting with consistent quality and friendly service.

Our favorite Greek place in Richmond! Great atmosphere. Great value here. The calamari dinner is the best I've had so far! Good selection of wines and drink specials!  For dessert I recommend the ekmek -- dessert from the Greek? Turkish? gods!!! - whatever!!! Call for reservations - really busy between 6-8 pm nightly.
