This place is plain awesome. Sitting on the patio is wonderful in the summer, and the interior itself is a pleasure to soak in. It's covered with souvenirs (many of them ale related) collected over the years. The beers made on site are always satisfying and delicious. Even if it's being visited by college kids, it consistently has a mature and classy feel. I love the proximity to the waterfront!

This pub is nice.  It used to be quite difficult to find good beer up North.  Exceptional beers from the region.  Diverse.  Decent food.  Good servers.  I would like this review to be longer, but in honor of the "Good" (sic) White North, I decided to write without the letter "eh."  Just go here.  It's quite excellent.

I love this place.  I come here almost every time I'm even remotely close to Kingston.

They have some seasonal features, some flavours of the month and some rarely produced beers which my other beery friends report on when they pass through.

The food is decent pub-grub and the pricing is typical.  This is NOT a foodie oasis.  It's a BEERY oasis!

I'll be back, again and again and again.  It's worth the drive just on it's own, all the way from Toronto!  You might have to bribe your designated driver somehow....  I'm not sure how.  This requires some though.  Hmmm...

There are good things and bad things about this place, let me give you the low down here.  Let's start with the good - good selection of beers, including their own brew, delicious non-fried "Dragon" wings, good burgers.  The patio is quite spacious and nice in the summer.  The bad - pretty much everything is overly greasy and heavy tasting.  The trout dip is poorly balanced, overly fishy and well, just yuck.  The dessert tastes like stale baked goods from Metro, sometimes with a glob of cheap ice cream.  The seats are also very uncomfortable and parking is a pain here.  Conclusion: if you're looking to get drunk with a bunch of friends and your taste buds aren't too picky, this is a decent place.  If you are looking for good food, I'd go elsewhere.

The Brew Pub is my favourite restaurant in all of Kingston.  The food is excellent as well as the service.  The interior is fun since it's decorated with brewing related items and music memorabilia.  They have humorous menus and placemats.

As others have said, the Ghetto Wings are delicious.  The Ghetto sauce that they put on the wings is unique to the Brew Pub.  I would also recommend the Torpedo Steak Sandwich.  The steak is covered in the Ghetto Sauce and is juicy and tender.  I usually get this when I eat here.

The Sunday Brunch is another thing to go for.  Perfect portion sizes for a good price.  Eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns in a few different combinations and vareties.

Greasy Sludge anyone? The much vaunted wings smothered and dipped in molasses sauce  were dry. Advise wringing out shrimp prior to try to eat . Soggy greasy fries , tasteless onion rings revolting chicken  pot pie. Homemade beers taste amateurish like homemade wine. Friendly service.

The Kingston Brewing Company is one in the trio of places I like to hit when I'm in K-town.  It's Ontario's oldest brew pub and one of the few places in the city that makes its own beer.  It's one of the best pubs for my money.  The local brews they make are delish, the décor is warm, friendly, and completely inviting, and for me, the menu may be great, but I've only had one thing there.

The Ghetto Wings, named after the now-not-named-that Queens Ghetto (I guess they got angry calls from ghettos in other cities not wanting to be associated to that mess), the wings are some of the larger wings that you'll find in restaurants.  The Ghetto sauce covers them in a smoky-spicy stickiness that will have you wondering what the other stuff on the menu tastes like.  I'm dead serious, I've eaten here so many times and have only tried the wings or whatever has been passed in front of me by my table-mates saying "You have to try this."  Thank God for friends, eh?

The interior is not where you want to sit. On a clear bright sunny summer day, walk around the front porch and head straight for the backyard patio. Overhanging umbrella and debris guards make the indirect sunlight enjoyable.

Chicken pot pie, dragon's breath beer ale sausage, and torpedo steak sandwich make for a hearty and diverse menu for a pub. Great selection of beers and friendly service staff....the quintessential Kingston patio experience.

Being a big fan of beer, the Brew Pub is a fantastic addition to the mosaic of Kingston's bars. They brew a handful and while I'm normally not a fan of the pales, I thoroughly recommend it. Also the Royale is a winner. Price wise it's a good bargain as well...Sometimes those microbreweries let their local beer making go to their heads and charge you through the nose. Not so here, pitchers are between 13 and 14 depending on what you get.

I've sat inside and outside...The outside patio/porch is a bit crowded, but I'd rather sit outside on a nice night and take advantage of the good weather before the Canadian tundra sets in. Inside is warm and busy with decorations. An added benefit  is that over by the main bar there are board games you can borrow for the evening and frequently the tables have trivial pursuit cards waiting for your slightly buzzed, knowledge craved mind.

I must agree with Todd - the Ghetto Wings are great.  They're not battered and deep fried like you will find at most other places; these ones come off a BBQ.  The sauce is excellent.

I haven't sampled my way through their beer menu yet, but the Dragon's Breath Ale is quite pleasing.

Hands down the best pub in Kingston.  I love the beer selection - always something new to try while enjoying a lazy lunch or dinner on the patio during the summer.  It's also cozy inside if the weather's not cooperating.  I love the great menu and specials.  For me this is a must stop everytime I'm in Kingston.

Wonderfully relaxed pub in the heart of Kingston that brews it's own great beer. Humourous menu, friendly staff and beautiful patio make this a favourite lunch stop for us.

Excellent beer. They make several different kinds themselves. Nice and relaxed atmosphere. Food was excellent and not expensive. Around 25$ for a good meal and 2 pints of beer.  I tried the Raspberry beer, while a neat idea, is not the best and I love raspberries.  The outdoor patio/porch is good too.  It was pouring rain and didn't get a drop on me while on the patio.  I will be going back there.
