Had a great meal here with my Fiancee.
It is a small store and the menu items are limited but thats all you need.
I ate the Curried Goat and my Fiancee the Jerk Chicken. Both were served with rice and salad and were delicious!
The place is run by really nice couple. The husband does the cooking and the wife runs the front cash and waits tables.
We enjoyed our meals with some reggae playing in the background and left with very full stomachs.
I'd recommend this place for sure. -

Simply stunned by how revolting and over-priced this place was.
The food (jerk chicken and fish) seemed like it had been sitting out - we left more than half despite that there was hardly a few bites of meat amongst mostly bones. The beans and rice were OK but the jerk lousy.
At the end, the price (which wasn't listed on the blackboard) was absurd and the tables greasy.
All in all, i feel sick to my stomach and ripped off by this place. -

Ok, I consider myself a seasoned carribean food eater. And after reading some rave reviews of this place, I decided to try it. My review.
The jerk chicken was pretty good. The meat fell off the bones nicely but it wasn't very hot, I wish they kept it a little more fresh.
The rice was too bland and hard. Seriously. Or serve it with a side of hot sauce.
The tiny portion of "salad" on the side didn't do anything for me.
The cranberry juice alone was a whopping $3.
Overall- Too expensive for what they serve, and the googly-eyed workers trying to flirt made it hard to enjoy my meal. I'm probably not going back. -

A definite surprise! Good Caribbean food is hard to come by, and not only did they deliver on the food, but on Friday night, they had some great live music as well!
I had a regular portion of Jerk Chicken, which was served with a green salad and rice & beans. Despite not being the "large" plate, the portion was still large enough even for a big guy like me! The chicken was quite spicy, and everything was fresh and very flavourful.
The decor is definitely economy, but the food was great, and the ambiance with the live music was superb! The service was quick and friendly.
The only thing that was a little odd was that the owner's young daughter came and sat at my table, picked up my iphone, and started playing games. It was cute at first, but getting it back from her when it rang was a bit of a struggle!
Overall, I really enjoyed the food and music, and will surely be back! -

I've heard a lot about this place. A very disappointing experience at a well known Caribbean joint on the other side of town left me with a craving largely unfulfilled.
I went in with a friend and we shared the goat curry and ackee and saltfish. They came with green salad and beans and rice.
Man, were they both ever good! I've had ackee and saltfish at other places, but this one was just so much more flavourful! The goat curry was fall off the bone tender and spiced very well. I can take a lot of spice and that curry totally hit the spice spot while not overpowering the other flavours. There was a faint hint of coconut in the rice, and I'm not sure if it was just me (my friend didn't really notice it) but it was very welcomed, as mixing it with the curry/saltfish balanced out the spices.
I would definitely come back and try the jerk chicken they ran out of! -

I've been having a pretty crappy week; stolen car, got a cold/fever, missed Canucks game 1 for work, the list goes on. I dropped in here for a very late lunch on a rainy day still suffering the sniffles. I couldn't decide what to get so the chef offered a combo of the jerk chicken and oxtail stew. No word of a lie: This meal turned my week right around! The lip tingling jerk spice cleared my head and the hearty oxtail stew restored my broken soul. Not to mention a warm greeting and even a pat on the back from the lovely staff. What a meal. I'll be driving across the bridge to visit here again soon!

While so many Vancouver Yelpers were scouring the city for the best Mexican food this year, the other elusive palate not being covered was Jamaican.
While we did find a couple of places on Commercial drive that are less than impressive, over on the north shore Kingston 11 had slipped under our radar until tonight.
Found by exploring, as most wonderful things in life are, It was amazingly good !! We enjoyed meeting Prince, the chef and owner of the cafe with family ties to Jamaica and some great stories to tell. He began his interest in cooking very early on while hanging out in the kitchen while his mother cooked meals for his large extended family.
I ordered the Jerk Pork served with rice. It really kicked my a**
I know we'll be back to try out some other dishes, only next time I'll choose something that doesn't call in the fire department = :-0Listed in: Places out of the hive.

OMG I totally forgot to write up about Prince and his Moms famous cooking (He learned it from his mom).
Great place! When you come in you're greet by the cheer and charm that only Prince can offer. Friendly Jamaican style and hospitality.
Jerk chicken, Peas and rice and pretty much everything is good here.
I sure hope you open a place in Richmond soon!!!!
I remember telling alot of people in the Japanese community about this place and I think everyone was happy they came!
It's a bit far for us to travel to get food, but our first time here, we were very happy indeed that we found it. -

although I've yet to stop in for dinner, a friend and I have been by for lunch on a few occasions. I've tried the jerk chicken, jerk pork and the curry goat, all of which were served with large portions of rice and a side salad. We're both big guys, and the portions are always big enough to satisfy. The prices at lunch are higher than some other places nearby, but are good value considering the size of the portions.
I'm looking forward to our next visit. It won't be long. -

the food is delicious, the little place is cozy and nice, the owner is super friendly! simply a great place to eat !! the oxtail dish is so good I crave it every rainy day!!
the menu has 5-6 dishes on it and I've never tried anything else because I can't restrain myself from saying oxtail please at the desk!
and I think it's seriously not fair that someone took Prince, the owner the wrong way ignored the good food and left a 1 star pulling his overall rating down. -
