a new to-go hong kong style cafe for me!
introduced by my coworkers, this restaurant hit the right spot for me. the price was decent, the food was good, the service was relatively quick. for a group of 9 people, they didn't mess up any orders.
i tried their noodle combo, where i got to choose my own noodles and soup base and toppings. let me tell you, i ordered the parsley and preserved duck eggs soup base and it was delish! i would say it is pretty good and can compete with deer garden.
will definitely be back for more! -

This is my delima. Trying to write my review, take pictures while at the restaurant that I'm reviewing, with my iphone.
So I get back to my house to finish the review. I have to admit, that sometimes I will just post whatever I wrote on my iphone without any edits and let it run.
In this case, I had to make changes due to all those auto-correctness that this phone loves to impose on me. Nothing I could use and nothing that was appropriate. Apparently my phone is perverted and swears alot.
So it was a total rewrite from scratch, but I can't remember what I ate and the picture I took was too fuzzy to tell what I had. So this review is basically an overview of all the times I've eaten here.
Considering that I've been here about a half dozen times, I like it. 3.5 stars.
It's not the healthiest place to go to (so much rice this and noodle that), but it does recognize one big thing for me.
When I ask for no sugar in my drink, I get no sugar. Simple. They understand me.
LIke all HK cafe's, you can get combo's for a deal. There are Asian dishes, Dishes with Rice and or noodle options and noodle dishes. Everything comes with a carb. Unless you dare to have a salad, which I usually don't recommend at these places.
Think about it. Do Chinese really eat raw vegetables?
So in a nutshell, there are lots to choose from. -

*Great Hong Kong-style cafe*
Kingspark Steakhouse Restaurant is a Hong Kong-Style cafe which serves internationally inspired dishes which are asianized to fit the tastes of Hong Kongers. Typical Hong Kong-style cafes serves set meals which comes with an entrée and a drink (sometimes with soup as well).
When I come to Kingspark, I usually order their western-style dishes which are your rices and pastas with tomato or cream sauces. Th e food here is great as they have great ingredients and generous portions. Just note that during PEAK hours, the value sets is an additional $1. (just double check the menu)
Service here is on the good side (when based with asian service standards). So please, do not expect too much from the servers!
Regular patron here, so might have some bias, but definitely a place I would recommend to all. -

Our steak was way over-cooked and the manager was an ass about fixing it. He stood there pissed off and angry, but eventually offered to cancel it (after more arguing). Won't be coming back nor recommending it to my friends.
Move along... there are plenty of other HK cafe's in Richmond that give a little more respect to their customers and have good food. -

A nicely decorated HK-syle cafe with discounted meals after 9pm, before that then it's add $1 to each item, you still get your free drink. I like how they have many items on their menu to choose from and it's organized in categories instead of just a huge long list.
Their fried rice/noodles is really well made, can't go wrong, awesome sized portions, not mini at all, the size stays the same any time of the day. It's a great "cha-chaan-tang"! -

Honger food on the go.
Typical HK-style cafe. Cheap meals that comes with a drink. I like it because of their quick service, plus, their steak isn't bad. Most of all, I admire them for the cheap dollars breakfast they serve at what, 6am? -

this place has been around for a while. the food's average and the set meals are a better deal during afternoons. service is not the greatest but alright. a lot of choices/variety on the menu like all hk cafes. my friend's car got broken into in the parking lot while we were eating inside, even though it wasn't even dark yet so be careful--maybe richmond's not as safe after the skytrain's been built
