I love massages. They are my most favourite thing in the world. Even more so than eating! I've had all different kinds of massages in many different countries.
I would say my favourite are Chinese Acupressure, Shiatsu and Thai Massage. These people really know how to get in there and work out the knots.
I first went to this place while staying downtown looking for an apartment. The price was too good to be beat so I walked in and had a massage.
I thought about it for a year after even, without going back. I just procrastinated going there I guess.
Today I went again for an acupressure massage as my back and right hip were killing me. I have some bad posture working from home and sitting and standing in bad positions.
I went to a room in the back. There was a heating pad on the table. This was great. I was toasty warm when it was snowing outside!
There was even music playing, ooh fancy, better than last time.
I had Jim who was very friendly and welcoming. I told him my issues and he went to work straight away. I seriously felt like a piece of dough being prodded and kneaded and stretched and rolled out. This is a good thing!
I can't stand massages that are just for relaxing and rubbing your skin. I have pain. DEEP pain and I need my muscles and tendons to be sorted out and rearranged again.
He found pain and tension in places I HAD NO IDEA I had. All the body lines all the way down to my wrists and ankles, he found sore spots and pushed everything out.
Yes the place did smell of fish soup at lunch time, but I just laughed. Honestly at this price for getting a totally body repair I am not going to complain.
What I like about acupressure is that it's not like Swedish massage in that you're all excited about the back massage portion but then you get bored and sad while they individually massage your arms and legs, feeling that the best part has long since passed.
In Acupressure they work on the lines of the body stretching and moving things through and they keep coming back to each spot again and again working it out. So then entire time you don't know the routine or what is going to happen and you don't have to worry that they will miss that kink in your shoulder because they will be back to it and work on. I like this total body approach, it's not just Americanized water-down relaxation massage.
He is firm, and parts will hurt. But I am actually upset after a massage if I'm still hurt and they didn't get in deep enough to get out the knots. None of it was excruciating. The most sensitive parts were probably my calves and my shins as those are not used to being massaged.
He wants me to come back next week. I want to come back too. I need a regular back alignment in my schedule!
It comes to $42 with tax/hour (shouldn't it be $42.56?) and it doesn't seem like they expect a tip. So it's a very good deal. I will tip next time. Beats the $90/h that's so common here.
BTW you can get a deal of 13 1 h massages for $400 inc tax. Needless to say I got this and now I'm set for massages for a few months! -

went here on the recommendation of the concierge lounge attendant at the Hyatt - great massage for the price, lovely lady, didn't speak much english but more than made up for up for it with her smile. Wasn't as painful as I had expected, good and bad, but certainly no sore spots left afterwards and feel great today. Cannot beat the price. Definitely will go back. Next time a foot massage.

Seriously best massage I have ever had. Be aware that this is a bare bones, massage only kind of place. If you want candles and nice music, go elsewhere. If you want a great massage for cheap, this is an amazing place.

This place was very different than Chinese Foot Massage places I have visited in Seattle - which include being fully clothed, a foot soak, and an all body massage. This place was more like a spa massage - with the sheet to cover and massage oil. I wasn't prepared for that.
The ambiance is absent. Nothing comforting or welcoming. No music. My massage was in a room adjacent to a long hallway with hard surfaces and I heard to women who worked there chatting loudly the whole time. The place smelled like fish soup.
The masseuse was an older man - not expected, but he did an ok job. His pressure was way too hard - painfully so- and when I asked him to lighten up, I think he did not understand, he continued way too hard. I could feel his rough calloused hands.
The people were nice enough and clear with the pricing to expect. I really didn't enjoy myself and couldn't recommend this place to a friend. i just felt creepy afterward. -

An awesome massage for cheap. Basic services, no enya on the loudspeaker with cucumber/lemon water, but you get attentive, warm staff, and a professional massage for $42. What else can I say?

Loved it!
Requested a private room and it was awesome. Atmosphere isn't as fancy as Sole Spa, but the foot massage was fantastic. I walked out feeling like I was walking on air.
Value also fantastic. -

* "I'm not a foot massage specialist." *
My first thought when this new Chinese massage spot opened right next to Davie Village in the old Pink Pantry location was, "Shouldn't they name it Queen's Feet instead of King's Feet?" But I digress.....
After seeing the opening special sign offering $38/hr for foot or body massage I tried stopping in to get a foot massage but found the door locked and no answer. So I gave up and figured I would call another day to try them out.
The next day I gave them a call and set up an appointment for an hour later. When I arrived I was the only customer and there was only one person working as far as I could tell (perhaps the owner?).
I was escorted down the stairs through a wide open room that had nice hardwood floors (leftover from Pink Pantry as I recall?). The large open space felt deserted and could definitely hold a series of foot massage reclining lounges in the future.
But for now the foot massage is done in a small individual room with a non-reclining chair which makes for an uncomfortable position for a 1 hour foot massage.
The massage itself covered all the usual bases on a surface level, but it didn't feel like the therapist was really working as deeply as I normally would expect.
After the massage was over and I was getting ready to leave she said, "You know, I'm not a foot massage specialist. The foot massage specialists are here on Monday - not today." Oy. Wouldn't it have been nice to tell me that BEFORE the 1 hour massage? And before you accept an appointment for foot massage on the phone? Ugh.
When paying the bill the $38 suddenly became $40. (I'm guessing GST getting rounded up - but I didn't bother asking as it wasn't a huge difference.) I gave her $50 and she gave me $8.25 change. WTF?
I may not be a math wizard but $50-$38=$12 and $50-$40=$10. I'm not sure in what alternative reality $8.25 was the correct change.
I was already pretty much done though after the revelation of her telling me after the massage that she didn't know what she was doing, and just wanted to leave. So I skipped the tip (figuring she had already extracted enough from me), and left.
I won't return until they rebrand as Queen's Feet!
Ugh!Listed in: Fool me once, shame on you.…, Massage and reflexology

For the price, $40 for 60 minutes, it *exceeded* our expectations!!
I was experiencing some foot pain and had seen the sign for this business driving by on burrard. I made an apointment for myself and my girlfriend.
The foot reflexology / massage was *excellent*! The therapist was very thorough, lots of pressure and lots of Chinese therapy knowledge. She was able to identify the problem spot and showed me how it was affecting my circulation. I was in pain half the time which was a welcome shock; I could tell it was working. So much better than western massage that is more about relaxation than tharapy.
Make an appointment before you go. (ask for Harry or Annie, they were both great.) -

I'll say it: I'm a massage whore. I love massages - I can go everyday all day. That being said, I'm not willing to pay an arm and a leg for it. Because of the lack of cheap but good massage places in Vancouver (I'm really surprised that Vancouver offers such limited options for such a big city), we decided to check out this place. Parking is a little bit difficult, and their location is a little bit meh, but their massages are not too bad. One qualm is that my masseuse also had to answers phones and manage walk-ins during my massage so she walked in and out and had to answer the phone. Total of about 5 interruptions in a 1hr massage. Not the most relaxing experience, but shouldn't be too bad if it's not busy.

First of all, i only took off a star because of the ambiance and the fact that i've been there a million times and the same lady at the front desk never remembers i've ever been there. But getting past that, this massage is definitely not for someone looking for your typical spa massage, where all they really do is rub a little oil around your back, play some nice music and although you may be more relaxed - your back still hurts just as much as when you first went in. No no , Kings feet is nothing like that. They will get right in there and let me tell you it hurts like hell BUT you feel AMAZING after. You walk away like a new person. BTW i recommend Tiger, he is awesome! And to top it off, its only $40 for an hour. Doesn't get much better than that

Review from Dionne T.
This is a great place to go if you just want a good rub down minus the ambiance and amenities you get with nicer spas. Literally a room with a massage table, minimal decor but 40 for 1 hour full body massage is worth it. Tiger was thorough and applied great pressure. I feel like a new person! Oh and the foot massage was very therapeutic!

I've always been a keen massage-goer even on vacations, and I have never ever experienced a better masseuse in the entire Vancouver or even in Europe or Asia. Tiger has incredible skills and knowledge about how your body functions, and a 50-minute deep-tissue session always gives you a new feeling for your body. His type of massage does sometimes put you in pain, but it is that way that you know it works. You can simply feel it; he massages all the right muscle tension knots until they are gone, and while the immediate feeling would be that you've just gone though a beating, you will feel your loosened up body right when you get up and get going the next morning.
The store environment itself doesn't compare to spas, but why pay a hefty premium just for a better atmosphere only with someone simply touching you all over instead of giving you a proper massage that is worth the money? You haven't been to a real massage without trying what Tiger does. -

Wow it's was amazing! I went kingsfeet today cuz my body feels sore today. When I first walked in , the wall was paintted nice(warm color),had some wall pics....etc Everyone was busy so tat I have to Make an appointment and come bak again. So I had an hour body massage and it was fantastic ! I felt is was so relaxed and so fresh my self. The Chinese therptic is different from western cuz it's actually treat urbody and heal ur illness. The price was cheap compare to other location in downtown!($40/hour)
I will go bak there again and the next time I go bak I will buy a package.@@I think everyone who like enjoy massage or thinking getting one can spend some time there just to try, it's worth it! -

My experience was a little different than Marc D's. I have been in for two massages now, I enjoyed them both and I felt I got excellent value for the money.
The first time (I booked a body massage) the therapist was very nice and she seemed to be very intuitive about things, telling me things such as she could tell by my complexion that I hadn't been sleeping well (which was true) and had some suggestions. The massage was strong and effective and I really felt relaxed after I left.
The second time I had a massage downstairs, different therapist, hardly talked at all (fine by me), but again, a surprisingly good massage. I like how Chinese masseuses aren't bashful about massaging nether regions too (I mean that non-sexually, of course).
The environment is a tad on the cheap and informal, but nothing off-putting overall.
Then comes the price: $38 - which does indeed come to $42.56 after tax - is absolutely incredible for the quality of massage, which I've found better than most expensive, standard frou-frou salons (like Solarice). I've been there twice and I'm going in for my third time today! I encourage anyone to try it. -

Had the $38 full body massage which was AMAZING! Similar chinese massage places in Toronto are just as cheap, without this wonderful quality and massage skill. I was asked how deep I wanted it (medium) and it was a lovely combo of relaxation and muscle kneading. Nice relaxing music and clean environment.

I LOVED it!
I agree with other reviewers, the ambience is not luxuriant, in fact it's almost comically to the opposite. Kind of cheesy and tacky. But that's fine. There was some whale song type music on in the lobby and that was more than relaxing.
I share the experience with another reviewer in having roughly five interruptions in an hour long massage, but upon the final occasion a male masseuse came to replace the woman who'd I'd had a moment before, and his hands absolutely melted me. They explained to me that their busiest hour was around 3pm, exactly when I'd booked for. I'm pretty chill and didn't much mind, but they are open long hours so in the morning or evening would be great options.
It was difficult to make the booking because the girl spoke little english, didn't ask me what treatment I wanted or for how long, and didn't listen well. Language barrier was difficult, but they all smiled at me in store.
All these factors combined, the massage I received blew my MIND. Maybe not the best business people, but excellent at what, essentially, they do. For $40 I will absolutely be a return customer. -

Walked in early sunday and They called in therapists just for us, no apt needed. Great foot bath, comfy chairs and intense foot and leg massage that was much needed after miles of hiking. Easy, efficient and a nice treat, They even serve jasmine tea why you relax,
