A small Vietnamese submarine shop in Chinatown, Kim Tuyet has a small menu of sub sandwiches and appetizer-types of foods. There is also a noodle soup available (not pho, however). This is mostly a takeout place, as there are only a few tables and chairs, and no public washroom that could be seen.

I had a vegetarian sub, and it was one of the best I have ever had. The bread was fresh and warm, but not too hard or crumbly - I was able to walk down the street eating my sandwich without forming a pool of crumbs on my clothing. It was also filled with tofu and veggie ham, which I found very satisfying and flavourful. Of course, there were the requisite shredded pickled carrots, long cucumber slices, and cilantro. Add a mayonnaise spread lightly flavoured with garlic, and you have a perfect sandwich.

At only $3.50, I can go back often for more without breaking my budget. Other varieties include chicken, pork, and deli meats. If you like banh mi, give Kim Tuyet a try.
