Walking through this market makes my head spin with delight. All of the different produce, the pungent smells of Asian cuisine. I love this place.
I stock up on my sauces, and noodles, as well as getting my favorite fruits & vegetables, and all for a reasonable price.
I can spend hours in Kim Phat, looking at the stuff no other store has and debating which product to buy and browsing.
To me a day at Kim Phat is a treat. -

There's something about walking into Kim Phat Asian market in Brossard that sets my heart a-flutter.
It could be the chaotic dashing to-and-fro of the other shoppers, the .99 cent gigantic bag of baby bok choy greeting me at the entrance or perhaps the monster sized sweet potatoes that are the size of my head - but as soon as I've entered I'm in another world and I never want to leave. Which is true because each time I go (every 2 weeks) i end up spending over an hour browsing the aisles.
While the fruit and veggie section alone makes the trip worth it..the fish section is what keeps me returning. Literally. Fresh shrimp at approx $4/LB..I thought it was a mistake, but no it's for real! You can find a wide variety of live seafood/shelled goodies including shrimp, mussels, snails and even eel for surprisingly low prices.
The meat section is a bit small, but makes up for it with a good selection of different meats and parts perfect for soups and stews, including pig tails, chicken feet and various other tasty organs.
But the real reason why Kim Phat has a special place in my heart?
Freshly made pork buns. To die for.
