Killbear is the best of the provincial parks, especially for camping.

Just outside of Parry Sound Ontario,  on the Georgian Bay peninsula, Killbear offers 1,756 ha of nature lover's paradise.

With eight different campsites to choose from, there is a wide range of "experiences" to choose from. Some are more quiet than others with rock outcropping beaches more suitable for fishing, some have child friendly sand beaches with buoys and safe-swimming areas.  Several have public showers and toilets, and electricity for camper vans.

Killbear is breathtaking, fully surrounded by water and has three official hiking trails, several beaches and a wide variety of available activities.  Camp sites range on price depending on their location, access to amenities like showers.

The lighthouse Point Hiking trail is a really great experience, and make sure to bring mountain bikes to explore the park with.

It is on the pricier side of Ontario Parks, and is more like a park than "roughing it" but its a great family friendly choice. My favorite place to camp, for sure.
