I am a fan of Killarney Market!
Excellent prices, good staff and an amazing array of products.
They usually have a lot of things on sale, which is at a bargain price compared to the bigger grocery stores in the area. It's a local, family owned grocery store which makes it a plus. The meat is cheap, the groceries are cheap, and the produce is cheap (when it's on sale). I usually stock up on this on sale here, because I know I won't find it that cheap anywhere else.
The parking is sparse, and awkwardly tight. So be careful when driving in the parking lot. -

OMG I love this store. I never realized how cool it was till now!?!?
We came in here just looking to shop around for food and stumbled upon an aisle that had food from Peru!
and Thailand and Mexico and Japan and so on.
Fresh Mexican cheeses and flatbreads and "no hormone" meat!
Why can't there be a place like this in my neighbourhood!
OMG Food from Peru! I love this place. I want to be back, I will be back! -

Despite its supposingly cheaper prices, I just find it's a bit of overkill w/ its colourful oversized sticky notes literally on every shelf, every item...it's way too busy on the eyes.
And I tried to find an organic produce section.
It's a bit tight space walking down the aisles, and i'm all for supporting small business so just if i'm in the hood would i stop by.
Though I did find some ok pricing for ben & jerry's, on sale for $5.99 whereas Safeway is usually $2 more... -

It's hard not to be drawn by the vibrant tags that line their shelves that seem to say "Please buy me!" in nearly every color of the rainbow:
Yellow: Special!
Orange: Featured!
Red: Organic!
Green: Weekly special!
Blue: I don't remember...but I'm sure it's good.
A medium-sized neighborhood supermarket that offers a great alternative to over-priced Safeways. With an excellent selection of 'ethnic' foods from Latin American to European to Asian, and lots of olive oils to choose from (I love Italian so I had to throw that in there)...they've rolled multiple specialty corner stores all into one.
And as I wandered the aisles in amazement at the decent prices and the wide selection, I found myself thinking...I might just make a trip out here for a big grocery run and to add some global variety to my home-cooked meals.

I've been a semi-regular at Killarney Market since I have friends in the area. It's a much cheaper alternative to eating out, as their deli, meats and frozen food sections are well stocked. There is also a good variety of foods, including items that I've normally had to buy at European shops.
The staff is so friendly and helpful, and care so much to learn your name if they see you come back after only a few times. -

The aisles are a little tight and the store is pretty small (I'm used to superstore/pricemart/safeway and the like) but they have an eclectic range of items like authentic greek soap made from olive oil.
The staff are friendly and helpful. My mum bought the wrong type of cheese cake because the clerk didn't understand her accent. I went back to exchange without any issues.
Sometimes they have really good sales. But do watch out!!! They have a tendency of buying nearly expired stuff/some times just plain old expired stuff and having massive sales with them. There are carts filled with expired stuff (usually dried goods) still on sale at the back of the produce area. -

A great medium to large sized supermarket in the Killarney neighbourhood. The store reminds me of an old fashion Safeway or IGA, but with a more diverse selection of products that are from outside North America.
There is a good selection of packaged goods such as cookies from Europe, noodles from Asia, and sauces and spices from Latin America and Asia.
They have a large selection of dairy products, especially yogurt. There is a decent sized produce area with a variety of apples and other fruits and vegetables - nothing out of the ordinary, but just fresh. Their meats are freshly cut as there is a butcher on site. There is a bakery area with freshly baked bread, cookies, and cake. -

With Avalon Dairy closing its milk location on Wales St., it would make sense to Killarney market to carry Avalon milk. There are hundreds of people who walk, bike, drive to the old Avalon location to buy milk.
I need the 4 litres Organic Skim Milk please!!! Please stock up real soon. -

I've grown to dislike the large, chain supermarkets over the years. This is the perfect alternative to the anonymous, big business, chain-type stores.
It is large and well stocked to make it a good choice for your large grocery orders as well as for those trips that you just need a few things.
It has a great selection of fresh produce. Fruits and vegetables - local and imported and a good organic selection.
Aisles of the usual necessary grocery staples with a few added charms. It has a large selection of ethnic foods such as Philipino, Middle Eastern, Halal, Mexican and Latin American and more.
For example, the Mexican foods section isn't overrun by boxes of prepackaged mixes or taco and burrito kits. It has actual ingredients that you'd use if you were making you own Mexican food such as spices, and chilies, multiple types of refried beans, tins of white hominy corn and more.
Dairy, breads, meats, frozen goods, personal beauty items, and a deli counter.
The staff is super helpful. My #1son is on a new diet from his personal trainer and when he asked where something could be found the gent went out of his way to find him the things that he needed including asking questions about the regime he was on in order to provide additional suggestions. We'd already wrapped up our shopping and were going through the checkout when he came by with something else that he'd thought of. Beyond helpful.Listed in: Healthier Choices

This small market prides itself in carrying the top products at costco prices or less in many cases. It is atreasure trove of hard to find ingredients for asian and italian cooking. It is a neighbourhood store and carries a wide array of ethnic ready to eat items which are invariably fab. I go out of my way to come here. Their meat and poultry prices although top quality are often a fraction of the price we can find elsewhere. Don't miss out !
