I was driving around the south-east side of the city, waiting to pick up my wife from her book club. I had the munchies and decided to stop in for a pizza slice. I spotted Pinewood Pizza in a small plaza and stopped in. They had a big menu with lots of stuff posted. But, in terms of pizza, only a pepperoni slice was available at that time of the day (6pm on a Monday night). To be fair, their business, at that time of the day, seems to be mostly pizza delivery. It makes sense that most customers call in their orders because the dining room area was nothing much to look at. My slice took a few minutes, but at least it was wrapped in tinfoil, so the chilly temperatures outside would not have an impact on it. I did enjoy the doughy crust and there was just the right amount of cheese. It was $2.99 for the slice (no drink). So, a so-so price. Not bad in a pinch, but there are better deals out there.
