Review from Lisa Marie M.

I wandered in just before closing time. I have not really used many of their products, but my BF has been having issues with his hands and feet.
He had tried a few items, and liked them,
so I decided to pop in.
I was approached by a very friendly smiling Pheobe within a minute of arriving. She complimented me on my New Rock boots ( everyone does -they are pretty unique )
I asked her for a sample of hand or foot cream to give my BF.
She said she was out of the hand, but showed it to me, explaining the features and benefits. It sounded great, and while she went to go grab me the foot cream sample, I decided on purchasing the smaller sized tube.
She then rang my cream in and told me about the promo that they have on.
20% of your purchase goes back onto a gift card that you can use on purchases
March 26-May 31 -this is a great promo !
Friendly service, nice products & a promo that you can actually use without collecting ton of stamps or points 4 stars indeed! -

I like their products. I don't love all of their products but the ones I have, I love them. I don't have a loyalty to a certain brand. I like using different lines to experiment and see how they are different from each other. I am bit of a beauty junkie.
But I keep buying their Midnight Recovery Concentrate; it has a lovely lavender to it and absorbs really great into the skin.
And I love how they give samples of their products. I tried their Midnight Recovery eye cream and loved it. It's nice and thick but absorbs really great as well.
I also really like their toner and scrubs.
Now, I got a sample of their Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque and tried it. It got tingly on my skin not in a good way.
I would definitely ask for samples of products of things you would like to try. They seem knowledgeable in their products and also pretty generous with their samples when you purchase one of their products. -

If I had a million dollars I'd buy you...everything in Kiehls.
I adore their hand cream, face cream and lip balm. I've yet to find anything as soothing and incredible.
The staff are all pretty helpful and non pushy and are good with suggestions. -

I still stand behind their facial and body SPF's. Add to the list the hand salve and oil-free cleanser.
On my most recent visit to their new location on Robson Street, I was blown away by their service. AND by the fact that they now have paraben free products (well at least the ones I buy). It's also always a nice touch that you so often get samples with or without buying anything. I only wish their sample packages were more travel friendly (read: refillable).
Nice new digs and staff!Listed in: Shopping in Vancouver: A right…, 'Cos I'm Just a Girl

Always great service - prompt assistance and ample samples. I also really like the renovated store. It seems more enclosed and united for some reason. Perhaps it's the shape of the store.
They managed to pack the stores with tons of options to choose from and somehow wearing white lab coats make them more trustworthy.. (a victim of stereotype and social norm) I very much appreciate I don't have to play coy to get a free sample or two (which at most times 2). That's why I keep coming back! -

They re-modeled! Nice! I love this convenient and central Robson location - the employees here are always eager to help and friendly. They always remember to give you some samples whether you are purchasing or not so don't be shy to ask for samples!
My go to products are:
- Lip Balm #1 or Scented Lip Balm #1 $7-9- it is essentially vaseline or flavored vaseline but it's so damn moisturizing, you really can't go wrong.
- Facial Fuel Eye De-Puffer $18.50 - feels nice and soothing on your eyes after you've spent the night sobbing over your ex boyfriend or bad break up :(
- Supremely Gentle Eye Makeup Remover $16.50 - this is the BEST eye makeup remover I've ever used in my life. it is SOOO gentle and creamy. It doesn't sting AT ALL and it removes makeup with one or two swipes.... AMAZING. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this for anyone looking for a perfect eye makeup remover!
- Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment $30.00 - feels light and comfortable and great for sensitive skin (not harsh on your skin at all)
This location always has promotions like free lip balm or free gift cards with purchase... so don't be hesitant to give them your email so you can get in on those good deals! -

Was here over the weekend, and after rediscovering the brand and having recently visited the Toronto store, this was another disappointment. No one greeted us, showed us products, nothing.
The change in climate had me itching for a new moisturizer, with no one there to help me, I left empty handed.
Worst service ever - or no service rather...but the products are still good. Pick them up elsewhere. -

Every single time I have been there I have gotten awesome skin care tips and great service. I have many of their products and love them all! I love how they wear the lab coats, feels like they know what they are talking about more LOL
The art on the back wall was even done by Shepard Fairey (the guy who did the Obama hope poster)
I just wish it wasn't so expensive! My last anti-aging serum was $77, it better work!! -

Having read a lot of glowing reviews of Kiehl's products in magazines, I was curious when I saw the boutique on Robson Street. It smells nice, and it has a sort of pharmacy feel to it - all the products lined up on the shelves with their white labels and the staff in clinical-looking lab coats for uniforms.
The prices reflect the brand's prestige. I was dismayed, however, to read labels and discover that ingredients in these pricey concoctions are some of the same cheap fillers and preservatives you'd find in (actual) drugstore brands, such as sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate (a foaming agent) and methylparabens, and many more unspellables. No thanks. Not at this price point. -

Back in the 90's when I was an active PADI diver, I had two problems I was looking to address:
1. Chapped lips especially due to allergic reaction to SPF ingredients...
I came across Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 which was supposedly used by climbers of Mt. Everest to aid their lips from the effects of wind and cold weather. If it was good enough for that kind of extreme condition, it should be good enough for everyday use.
Although it did have SPF 4 rating, the ingredients I was allergic to was minute enough not to affect me if I used it once per day.
2. A more compact way than bringing shampoo and a bar of soap for the out of town traveling...
I needed an all-in-one hair and body cleanser that was mild enough for twice a day shampooing as well as remove salt water sediments left on the skin. I came across a product called Kiehl's All-Sport Everyday Shampoo which was supposedly great for swimmers.
At that time both products met my needs. Kiehl's products then were marketed to have simple, harmless ingredients. I loved the product packaging which had no fanfare - a bottle and slapped on label. And most importantly the stores and especially the stand-alone Kiehl's shops, err I mean, Kiehl's Apothecary boutiques had excellent customer service and support. If you didn't like a product, you can bring it back for a full refund. Trial pouches are also available so you can discover even more Kiehl's products.
Fast-forward to 2009 and it all now seems like an expensive body product with questionable ingredients. New products are being introduced every time with a more colourful packaging and labeling. Gone are the days. Rather than have an all-in-one unisex product with all natural ingredients, they are now sliding back into gender-specific designations.
I may have ridiculously spent too much back in the day for Kiehl's. Like someone has stated, the products are too pricey for ingredients and performance for similar products you can just buy at your local drug store.
I patronize a few of their "Male" products like the No-Shine Lip Balm and the Facial Fuel. But a few months of use and my skin started to get irritated once more.
I cut back and ended up with their simpler products like old-school Ultra Facial Moisturizer (wow!) and the "Superbly Efficient Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant" (double-wow!).
Apart from that, I don't know how much longer I can hang on to Kiehl's if they don't go all-natural and organic and still keep up their uber expensive Canadian pricing. -

Great service, every time.
Love their lip balm #1. Affordable, and with SPF! Their face lotions work for my skin type too. Never too oily, and moisturizes perfectly.
Employees are always helpful, and when items sell out, they put you on this notification list and let you know when the product comes in.
Oh, did I mention the free samples they give out? It's a great way to try out different products. -

Argh! Why I ever let anyone take me into this shop is beyond me....
I walk past every single day on the way home from work and have so far managed to avoid stepping inside for 6 months now.
You buy one little cleanser and BAM they hand you some samples for other products and then that's it, forget it, there's no turning back. You want it, you want everything.
I can see myself soon becoming like the crazy bird lady in Home Alone - hanging out in Stanley Park with pigeons and begging for cash to fund my Kiehl's addiction.... -

My sister sent me to this pricey shop to get as much of their body cream as I could get my hands on. She lives in Australia and doesn't have a Kiehls shop near her and her friend was pregnant. She swears by their cream as a way to keep stretch marks at bay. She wanted to give her friend the baby shower gift that would keep Mama looking good.
I got great service when I went in, the sales person even helped me pack up the cream to ship. She also put in a bunch of free samples and other goodies for my sister. It was great. Of course, I don't know if I would have paid this much for cream for myself.
I have male friends who swear by their shaving cream. The tube seems small, but it lasts for a long time. -

I love Kiehls in Canada and The States. This is the best skincare therapy bar none. It's a little on the expensive side, but well worth it. I use the Pineapple Papaya Facial Scrub, Calendula Toner, and Ultra Facial Cream. Kiehls will clear your blemishes and even out your skin if you give it plenty of time to do so. My face feels and looks healty whenever I use Kiehls. Give them a try

I'm not much for loyalty when it comes to skin-care products, which is how I found myself having a peek around Kiehl's one afternoon. I know enough about the Kiehl's line to know that they carry truly fantastic products, but I wasn't aware of just how wide the range of products they sell is! From face cleansers, moisturizers, toners, masques, serums in every skin type to a full men's line of similar products along with body, hair, fragrance, sun, baby and even a canine and equine (yes, equine) line of shampoos and conditioners. The staff is at the ready in white doctor's coats for any questions you may have. My sister turned me onto the scented lip balm and I'm sure I'll be back for more when I run out.
