    I like it.

I wish they had a bit more consigned stuff as the new product is quite expensive (for me at least im shopping at a kids consignment store...) but that being said the stuff they do have is clean and well priced. I got some stuff for my nephews that was on the clearance rack and got 6 or so items for 40$ including some darling Calvin Klein trousers

I will go back... and I don't even have any kids!

Unfortunately, this store is now closed. They had some great books while they were open, though...

I'd seen the sign for Kiddo many times, but never felt compelled to check it out. And then I got knocked up and the sign took on new meaning... Coincidence? Who can tell?

Anyhoo, I popped in and was 'pleasantly surprised', as they say. It's not a big shop, but when I visited there was a decent selection of consignment and new kids clothing, accessories & even a small pre-loved maternity section. The woman working was pleasant and helpful without breathing down my neck and she gets bonus points for not asking me if A) my baby is due any day now? (not for for 3 months, thanks) and B) am I having twins? (no, apparently I'm just huge).

I walked out with an organic sleep gown thingy in a very cool colour & pattern for $7. Not too shabby. Plus, I figure I'll make that money back when I take in some of my maternity clothes to consign. Let's just say I made some poor choices and have a few nearly-new monstrosities that perhaps some other lady-in-the-family-way will be able to pull off.

Something to keep in mind - when you're shopping consignment, sometimes the selection sucks. That's just the way it goes. I returned  to Kiddo's recently and wasn't as lucky. However, there were a few new items I liked, but I'm specifically looking for the used goods. Mama's on a budget and all that.
