Eeeep! A real live brewery in Ottawa! With Growlers! Be still my heart.
Growlers are the big jugs of beer and at $10 a go ($14 for the first) that's a darn good price for fresh beer. At the moment, they have a dark and a blonde on tap. Personally, I'm usually a dark beer fan but I'm pretty hooked on their natural blonde. Maybe it's the summer time air. Who knows.
Anyway, the brewmaster there is super nice. They have some brewers in from Propeller in Halifax (my first growler!) and are looking to expand. Really stoked that they are offering growlers and brew tours.
Only downside is that it's sort of out of the way. Would make a fabulous afternoon trip for a date as it's just past the experimental farm. Other downside is that the atmosphere in there is sort of like a dentists waiting room, which immediately induces anxiety for yours truly.
