Ok lets get one thing straight, I LOVE Taco Bell in the US, its probably my favourite fast food joint (along with Jack in the box).
However TB in Canada is a different story. Why does my crunch wrap supereme taste like a donair? why is there so little filling, but so much bread. Why does the tortilla taste like lavaash instead of tortilla? Why do they not carry "FIRE" sauce, the only have "HOT"... unacceptable.
Tried this location twice, this is not Taco Bell, some weird canadian version of it. -

This is quite possibly the worst, most incompetent branch of a KFC that I've ever had the misfortune to patronize.
Whatever your opinion of multinational fast food chains are, they do have a role and this place fails it on an epic scale.
Since this place opened three years ago, I've visited it on a half dozen occasions and, on every occasion, my order has not been filled correctly nor to my satisfaction. Some memorable moments:
- ordered a 20-piece bucket, specified original recipe and received a mix-mash of 6 pieces of original and 13 pieces of extra crispy. Not only did I get shorted a piece, but almost every piece was dark meat. The pieces that were extra crispy were dripping with grease and it tasted like the fry oil wasn't changed.
- dropped by and had a soft taco combo that resulted in a bout of food poisoning shortly after.
- ordered a 10 piece combo and was told that they were very low on white meat. I asked for them to try their best and give me what they can. Went away with my order only to discover that my order consisted of 7 drumsticks and 3 thighs -- all dark meat. The fries that came with the order were greasy and soggy.
It's obvious that this place is not run by KFC directly, but rather a franchise owner as every order that I have ever had has had some sort of deficiency.
It's apparent that the fry oil is not changed on a regular basis -- fresh fry oil is essential to getting desirably crispy, non-greasy, clean taste. Every franchise chain that serves fried food has a recommended fry oil change schedule in their books. Franchise owners wanting to save a few bucks tend to stretch out the periods between oil changes.
Avoid, avoid, avoid this place at all costs. The KFC in the nearby Coquitlam Centre is run considerably better. -

I don't get why it takes 30 minutes to go through a drive through
it's supposed to be fast food - I could've dined in at a restaurant during similar amount of time
it seems to have improved recently but wow ... they have really incompetent team of staff working there -

This place is DISMAL. Yes, I said DISMAL.
I rarely PAN a negative review of an eatery,
let alone a multi-national, but THIS PLACE BLOWS.
KFC or TACO BELL, either side does a disservice to its' national advertising...
If it is a KFC, then YUM BRANDS, and their franchisees better listen up.
CHICKEN is just that, CHICKEN. It is not platinum, or metallurgical coal.
When you are charging over $1.50 per peice of chicken, for what is supposed to be FAST FOOD, then I expect two things to happen.
That the food is READY, or that it is FAST. This is NOT the case here.
This ISN't just ONE negative review. I have been to this location
several times, and at each attempt, I am simply not impressed.
I do NOT expect a 30 person backlog WAIT for a simple order. (Yes, 30 people). AT DINNERTIME. It isn't like you don't expect to be busy - AT DINNER. (???)
-
If this location is a TACO BELL, then it is also DISMALLY RUN.
TACO BELL is supposed to be even FASTER food. Flatbread, Tacos, and Natchos. For crying out lout. It isn't rocket science. FAST service, FAST food. Again - AT DINNER TIME.
-
To be sure, the food is standard TACO BELL / KFC fare, but I certainly
do NOT expect to wait 15 minutes for a serving of Fast Food - especially this stuff.
The food isn't really the problem. The staffing is. Pick up your socks, and hasten the pace. (Andale). This SHOULD be a busy location. Be prepared for it. This location is NOT prepared. Either the manager is
CORPORATE or ABSENTEE. Staff is short-handed, and ill-equipped.
(They ran out of hard-shell tacos when I last visited, at 5pm, just prior
to the dinner rush.)
Hungry people in a hurry? Shoppers? Drive throughs?
You should seek nourishment elsewhere.
Walk in? Not in a hurry? Don't mind the wait?
Bring a book. And your wallet.
Overpriced, underdelivered.
Try somewhere else. -

An open letter of love to Taco Bell:
I knew of you for so long, and over the years we shared those curious glances, but I resisted your temptation. Then my flatmate told me of how if you existed in Ireland her love of you would lead to her eventual morbid obesity, and I had to try you.
At first I walk in shyly, not even knowing what you had to offer aside from a standard taco, but your menu was divine. What caught my eye was your cheese gordita, and then was when the real attraction sparked, so I ordered.
I sat down in your clean seating area, and I must say, it was love at first bite. You showed me everything I was missing over the years of eating only my normal homemade tacos - a hard taco, covered in more cheese and and flat bread? It was messy to eat, and I felt dirty yet strangely satisfied after the gordita was done.
Then I had your Original Taco, and I usually don't do two rounds but to you I couldn't say no. Then I had your Cinnamon Twists and they were lovely.
Oh Taco Bell, my Mexican Mistress, how could I have waited so long? You will now lead to my eventual down fall my my need to run an extra 30 minutes a day... but I am yours. -

Taco Bell = hell
Yes it's cheap but in my gordita came out a nice long black hair. I went back to the counter and the worker said are you sure you didn't put it there...y response was "honey, I have blonde hair..." never again will I go there again! They looked at me like I put on a wig or something! Change the parking lot and speed bumps while you're at it!
