Kerrisdale Community Centre is a great place for active people to be active, relaxing people to relax, or people watchers to watch.  The Kerrisdale Community Centre has a nice indoor pool with lessons for everyone from beginners to people who just want to play in the water.  A single visit to an adult to the pool is $5.36. In addition, the centre has a fitness area with a one month pass for adults that cost $30.  There is a large basketball court, a youth area, and loads of activities for per-school and school kids.  There is also a seniors center and a library under the same roof.  I would highly recommend stopping by the centre and grabbing the Recreation Guide with all the details of the Kerrisdale Community Centre.  It is well worth your time.

I went just a couple of days ago to just sit down in the lobby area and watched people walk by as I studied for a major exam.  The staff were very friendly and helpful.  Their were several people in and out of the centre of all age groups.  There was even a birthday party in one of the rooms that is for rent.  I was able to study and use the library with free Wifi from the lobby area.  Highly recommend...

Kerrisdale Community Centre is a great place to get active and meet new people. For a small membership fee, you can work out in the fully equipped exercise room, on your own or with one of the centre's personal trainers. Or just go jump in the pool. Kerrisdale offers a wide range of swimming lessons for all levels and ages. You can even rent the pool lanes for personal practice or special events.

Kids love Kerrisdale Community Centre's long list of classes, and weekend and after-school programs, which include piano, skating, martial arts, and language courses. In its popular seniors' centre, members can enjoy lunch, billiards, card games, and bus trips.

The community centre's even offers several rental options for special events like meetings, lectures, or parties. There's a large banquet room and smaller meeting rooms. The centre even offers tables, chairs, and access to kitchen space in some rooms. Food that's served can't be prepared at the centre, but you can bring in catered food and you can serve alcohol.

I would avoid the swim lessons at this pool. My child had passed a level at a different pool, and we registered her in the appropriate level. The instructor kicked my child out of the class. Another parent in the waiting room said his child had an assessment at Kerrisdale, enrolled in the appropriate class and was also kicked saying the child was not ready.
The requirements are clearly laid out by Red Cross and our child is clearly able to do requirements laid out for the passed level. We registered at another pool and there has been no problems
This may be why Kerrisdale seems to always have open spaces in classes while lessons at other pools are full with waiting lists.
