Review from Vanessa G.
I was absolutely blown away by this farmers markets. Everything is local, fresh, and delicious. I even found 2 organic farmers which is better then none! You can even get eco friendly eye make up (rather then the toxic ones in most stores), fresh squeezed juices, vegetarian fake meat pork buns, amazing curry flavored hummus, Israeli breads.. i could go on and on. For a whole week i ate local and in season because of this market.

This farmers market puts the ones in Vancouver to shame. So many different types of things and not that many repeat booths where people are selling the same thing.
It's very popular, especially on long weekends. Good idea to come on an empty stomach because there are plenty of good food options. -

On Saturday morning, I went to the Kelowna Farmer's and Crafter's Market with two four year olds and two two year olds. Besides a great selection of produce, this market has a lot of fun fair food, face painting, and things for kids to do. However, it is really geared towards the adults with fun (and expensive) crafts. It has a nice homely feel about it and is considered a staple in the area, held twice a week in it's main location near Orchard Park and in other varied locations as well. There are a number of themed days to keep the locals and their kids coming back. And there is nothing like appreciating a market through a kid's eye. Because really all it took was an apple to make my nephew happy!

Love this market for a wonderful array of local fruits, veggies & art! There are the regular vendors who are there nearly every week, and there are some new faces popping up all the time! I'd definitely recommend you try a crepe (sweet or savoury) & find the Samosa Lady!! I love looking at all the gorgeous crafts, and I am addicted to the bacon baguettes!!
