Review from Ashley S.
Toronto, ON
Ok, so this review is for the Keg in Heartland..but regardless...
The Good:
- the waitress was super nice!! she was very patient with me b/c I'm sooo indecisive and answered all my questions well and she did a great job juggling several tables
- the atmosphere was nice..we were near a fireplace so that added ambiance
- they put us at a table for 4 when CLEARLY there was a table for 2 right next to it!!! anyways, there were no problems when we asked to move so what could've been a Bad turned into a Good!
- the bread was yumm-o! sooo soft and melt in your mouth!
- I had prime rib and it was decent but what became the good was when I put tabasco on the steak and dipped it in the steak gravy..mmmm!! good!
The Bad:
- I requested mine to be medium well but I felt it was a tad bit more rare than I would have wanted..the waitress did ask if it was ok but I didn't mention it so it was my fault, but still...
- the prices were kinda high and the food was only ok..the steak at Moxies is soo much better!!
- my bf had a steak with "crab" on top but you could barely taste the crab!
Overall, it was okie..we did have a $25 gift certificate so it helped us out..we had: prime rib w/ baked potato; sirloin with mushroom crab cream sauce on top with mashed potatoes; 2 iced teas w/ refill and 1 french onion soup...in total, $60

Review from Kintaro O.
Bah, it's a bloody steakhouse. It has a menu (price tags to match) like Morton's or Ruth's Chris, but it's just not anything spectacular. A lot of those pompus EMC blokes seem to frequent this dive, so that gives you an idea of the personality of this establishment (i.e. none).
The food isn't terrible. It's just passable. And that's a cardinal sin for a place of the calibre Keg aspires to become. Being forgetable is worse than simply being bad. If I shell out 30 to 40 quid (this was back when 1 GBP = $2.30 CAD), the meal better be damn good. At least have the decency to make the meal inedible so I can send it back in good conscience and have it taken off the chit.
And the waitress was a complete slapper. I nicked her pen in retaliation.
