Review from Curtis L.
We were in need of a place for a late lunch in between a noon wedding ceremony and evening reception. This place also happened to be right below Kirin, where the reception was going to be and where we were helping with setup. We walked in and the 6 of us had the place to ourselves. There was enough seating for about a dozen people. This place was definitely a mom and pop shop. Everything was mismatched and pictures and prices of menu items all over the wall. A little overwhelming for me since it took me a while to figure out if everything on the wall was on the menu. First off, their selection was pretty good but given the look of the place, I was not sure about the quality of the fresh fish. The prices were very good ($4-$6 a roll) and based on what we got, a good deal. My wife and I ordered the yam tempura, sunset roll and dynamite roll. The tempura was freshly fried and light. The sunset roll had a interesting purple sauce on it and was too sweet. The dynamite roll was good. Nothing great but not bad either. Our friends ordered the combo and come other rolls (rainbow, etc). All the rolls didn't seem to include the ingredients of the what the name of the roll typically contain. The fresh fish was not top quality but what do you expect at this price. They did take a little time to make the food but it meant they made it to order. If you are not a sushi snob and wanted cheap sushi, try this place. If you have a very particular sushi palette, I would find another place.

The only people I know who like this place are the conservative sushi eaters I know, so I should have taken that into consideration!
I've had been here a few times and most recently again this week. Location is convenient to my work and fairly cheap. Unfortunately it's one of the closest Japanese places, meaning that if we get sushi for a meeting, it's often from here.
The sushi is fine if you're having a craving, but it's not that good. Fish lacks a bit of flavor, rolls vary a lot in how well they're cut and selection is quite basic. Rice is so-so. This place caters to the "to go"/quick lunch group and therefore sacrifices quality for speed.
My strongest memory of this place is the ketchup looking spicy sauce that they poured over one of our spicy salmon rolls the first time I had their rolls - yikes! I think I've been traumatized since! -

I was in town for the olympics and my cousin took me to this sushi place for a quick bite. I got the salmon don. the salmon was very fresh. i would have liked the rice to be more seasoned. overall it was okay. a nice mom and pop feeling place, but i don't think i would come out of my way to come back.
