I recently stopped by Katie's kiosk in the Halifax Farmers' Market looking for something special for the pooch in my life. I figured since his owner is a bit of a hippie, he would appreciate the thought of an organic pet treat.
I was a little bit curious about the concept of organic pet treats, and the person working the booth was happy and eager to explain it all to me. With a little knowledge I was almost half tempted to try one of these treats myself. Then I remembered I was a person and not a dog.
There are a lot of different flavors to choose from so I purchased a few random choices and took them off to see if they would meet the approval of Brucie the pooch.
As I opened the bag and presented Brucie with the treats you could cut the tension with a knife. I waited with baited breath for news of my fate, would he like the treats or wouldn't he! After a few moments I found out.
...He loved them!
And that is probably the best recommendation Katie's Organic Dog Treats could receive. Their cause seems noble and Brucie the pooch enjoys their treats. Highly recommended by dogs everywhere!
One thing though, the name. Katie's Farm Organic Dog Bakery sounds vaguely like a place where horrible things might happen to our beloved K-9s. Obviously not a big deal, I just thought it was worth noting.
