Kas Bar is one of my favorite lounges in Edmonton. It has the same menu as Yiannis, upstairs, but has a very different atmosphere/environment. When I'm there, I don't feel like I'm in Edmonton anymore. The decor is exotic and relaxed, Its a perfect place to go for an intimate meal or drink

The Kasbar is located in the basement of Yianni's, a Greek restaurant on Whyte Avenue. It is a very unique looking space with lighting accents, sofas, tables, and a bar. It is used by The Raving Poets for their weekly poetry jam, as well as for other arts and cultural events. I came here for the first time as part of a networking event and found Kasbar to have a very bohemian feel to it. The bartenders were very friendly and seemed to be having a great time. It's a great place to grab a casual drink and there are lots of out of the way tables and seating areas for conversation.
