The KRC is a sports facility that came well before its time. This place has been around since well before Kanata became part of Ottawa. And despite its age, it is still a great facility. The building itself holds two ice surfaces, along with meetings areas etc. It is well kept and if you didn't know it, you would think it was built within the past five years. They have added a lot to the facility though, mostly to the exterior. There are now two baseball diamonds, a volleyball court and soccer fields surround the building. On the leisure side of things, there is park land, a pond, paths and even a theatre just across the parking lot. With the Sensplex close by, the KRC's ice is available to be rented out more and anyone looking for ice time should try to get some at the KRC, it's a great facility with great ice.............and yes, there is a snack bar upstairs.
