    Cute store in Ktown.

WORKERS were very friendly and helpful when we asked questions.

They have very cute stuff animals and stationary stuff. My friends and I bought our friend a Girls Generation poster. The worker was very helpful in helping us choose the right one.

They actually moved to another location (but is not far from their original location); they just moved two units down, but I'm not sure if the address is changed above yet...

Any way, the store has more to sell now since the unit is larger. They sell a bunch of "Asian" stationary like pencils, pencil cases, clear files, along with toys like plushies. They also added some Kpop merchandise such as posters (but they are pretty small D:), and calenders. They have AWESOME music playing all the time (KPOP ) so it makes you want to just stay in that store for hours lol. I mean, you can listen to Kpop at home but when you hear it in a public place it's just a completely different feel. Anyway, back to the review...

So the owners of the place are married (I'm guessing it's Sarah and Tom as the store name implies?) and they are super super SUPER friendly. They make you feel very welcomed. They also hired this other Korean woman who is SUPER adorable, friendly, and fun (she engaged in a conversation and we stayed there talking to her for like 30 minutes). Overall, service is very amazing

Price, however, is a little on the expensive side. It varies though, some things are worth it (such as the pencils and some of the stationary), while some just don't seem to make sense in my opinion (cellphone straps for $7-$10). However, it is a really great store so if you're passing by in Korea Town, take a look around, the place is really nice :)

I was down in the Korea Town area walking the kid in the stroller (not on a leash as that may have implied) killing some time before a sushi mom date when I thought I would pop into Just You Sarah & Tom to check out all the anime fan girl goodness that I miss so much from my time in Akihabara. Walking in they have pretty much any plush you could ask for from any Studio Ghibli movie and beyond. The store is simply packed!

I was SUPER excited that they even had bento boxes. And not only bento boxes - two tier clickety click boxes with a separator! THAT IS AMAZING. I've recently gotten into bentoing for the kid and everything that I saw in the city was just too small or just to easy to spill, and the internet markup is ridiculous. So I was more than happy to plunk down $20 for this piece of plastic cuteness that has become invaluable to my son's lunches ever since!

Also the owner (and his wife) are mega friendly - although I was always thisclose to toppling over some sort of Totoro display with the stroller they never even batted an eye.

The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of JYS&T is Cute.   That is for the simple reason that everything in this store including the people behind the counter are so freakin CUTE!!!

How I ended up coming in here was that I saw all these huge Pikachu plushies in the window.  My best friend is a huge Pokemon fan and I have been looking for a house warming present for him.  I knew he'd get a kick out of having a Pikachu pillow so I ventured inside to pick one up for him.

Once inside I was immediately greeted by not one but two very sweet and smiley people.  I assume that maybe these two are Sarah and Tom???

This store is packed to the brim with all kinds of cute, sparkly, plushie, cuddly, big eyed stuff.  You've got everything from Hello Kitty tissue box covers to Pukka wallets to Keroppi wall clocks and of course the aforementioned Pikachus.

The guy who I assumed is Tom cashed me through promptly, said a shower of thank yous and bowed,  That made me smile.

And the best part of all was that bestie loved his Pikachu!!

Maybe it's genetic but  as an Asian I can't shake my love of cute tchotzkis emblazoned with over-simplified animations of kitties, frogs, pandas and the like.

Well JYS&T could easily be swept under the rug as another Asian tchotzky shop but the difference here is the lack of indifference.

You see many of these gift shops that litter either Korea or Chinatown may have similar merchandise, but the help in these shops is often completely callous or lacking.  Not so inside JYS&T. Once inside you are greeted with friendly demonstrations of their many novelty products by Tom himself, a real showman and salesman indeed.

They've got a myriad of cutesy things from cellphone charms to silly but adorable tissue dispensers. I really felt like I was treated to a song and dance as Tom & company  truly seems to enjoy what they sell and do.

Sure I ended up with a couple of novel things I didn't need ( a tube of Hello Kitty "cream" which incidentally turned out to be a pen plus some "blingy" cell phone cases) but supporting a local who's putting forth an A++ effort... I'm okay with that.

So if you're visiting Koreatown and and want a good laugh along with some cute stuff give Just You Sarah & Tom a visit!

I come back here for the third time and Tom, oh Tom. He's such a great help when you can't find certain KPop posters. As he's ringing my items through, he shared a lot of really funny stories with me and it really put me in a really good mood. I respect store owners that have a vibrant personality and always has a smile. I can't blame him though...there wasn't a lot of customers yesterday. Definitely coming back to buy more gifts for my friends =]

Just You Sarah & Tom gets five stars just on the sweetness of the proprietors alone! I popped into this little shop on a whim while killing time before meeting a friend for dinner. This shop sells teeny cute tchotchkes of the Asian persuasion: cell phone charms, plushies, stationery, etc.

As soon as I walked in, the owner, Tom, welcomed me in and offered me a red-bean filled pastry from a box of goodies that he'd recently bought from the bakery next door. As I made my way through the aisles, trying to keep myself from buying one of everything, Tom showed me some of the supercute goodies that they'd just gotten in: little "pill" bottles that hid tiny message scrolls, and mini origami tape for folding into paper stars. When I finally chose my goodies and went to the cash register, Tom carefully wrapped everything in the cutest of gift wrap: ribbons, shiny foil, etc. Granted, I wasn't even buying any of that stuff for a gift, so the wrapping he did was totally unnecessary, but he was so excited about it that I didn't want to stop him. And then, when I took my goodies home, I realized that there's just something really lovely about taking home and unwrapping a present -- even if it's just one that you've bought for yourself, and something as ordinary as a pen and a cell phone charm. :)

Tom is super nice, very genuine, and seems to really enjoy what he does. He even bowed when I left the shop. Aww. :) His enthusiasm is super infectious -- I could only ever hope to have that same joy in my daily life!
