I got to know the Jupiter mostly from friends who live around the Davie area. I'm not the bar hopping type so for me the Jupiter is usually a place to grab drinks before or after heading somewhere else or a place to grab a little food along with our drinks.
Overall it's a really nicely laid out place. Lots of seating and two patios make it generally excellent for big groups though , depending on the night and time, I've run into a little trouble finding a place to sit. It's also has a very chill decorating scheme, which I like in a sit down bar.
The one downside I'd say is the non-wait service. If you go up to the bar expect a line and expect it to be slow, especially on the busy nights. The bartenders tend to be focused more on the seated customers so ordering drinks from a server always seemed to be the way to go.
They've had some great comedy nights lately and I'd definitely suggest checking out any shows they put on. It's a solid venue with lots of seating, and food and drinks.
If you want a nice place to sit and get some food and drinks in a lounge atmosphere on Davie, the Jupiter is a good bet. -

Worst pizza ever...I still feel sick when I think about it.
Place is otherwise good for dancing, having some drinks and chat with friends. -

This is actually a pretty big venue, so it's a great spot to keep in mind if you're planning a low-key function. I organized a catered pub night for a team here and everyone had a great time. The nibbles (Greek appys and pizza, mostly) were tasty and kept everyone happy.
Even if you're not with a big group, it is a great place to chill with a friend or two. Inside they have comfie lounge chairs and the patios there are great. It's in the Davie Village, so if you start your evening here you'll be within walking distance from lots of lively nightlife. -

Back in the day Jupiter Cafe used to be the "it" spot to go for an after work cocktail or the place to start your Saturday night...all the cool kids hung out there..a group of friends and I would have our Cosmopolitans after Friday night Sex and the City episodes in the late 90's...I spent many a gay pride on one of the 2 large patios...I had my 25th birthday party there...needless to say I was a regular...kinda like Norm on cheers..but gay and skinny with bad blonde highlights...now years later..and free of the bad highlights..actually free of most f my hair...it's still a great place to grab a cocktail..while not the "it" spot any more Jupiter is still a great place to hang with friends while enjoying a beverage...the food..well...I can't say I can really remember eating anything other then Nachos on the patio many years ago..they were good..but can you really screw up taco chips with melted cheese??
It's a great place to sit on the patio with a cold beer on a hot summer day...they have 2 very large patios so you can usually get a spot...the decor hasn't been updated..well..ever..so it still has that 90's dark and Gothic feel..concrete floors..red velvet stuffed chairs...red velvet drapes...dark walls...you get the picture...
Jupiter defiantly holds a lot of good memories for me and every now and then on a Friday night it's fun to take a trip down memory lane..stop by and sip on a Cosmo..and since it looks the same as it did 10 years ago...it's just like the good ole days...Listed in: Liquor? I hardly know her!

Spent countless nights here back in 2003 between 8pm-1am sipping on Martinis & munching on A-Ok nachos......love the outdoor patio on a nice summery night and they have live band :)
