Today, I got a Juicy Lucy's Bug Buster Juice.
It has many things in it, but I mostly got garlic and ginger.
Now I smell like garlic and ginger.
I ate my own hand.
This juice rocked.
I will be back. -

Whether it's a hot, cold, or wet day, there's nothing I love more than a glass of fresh-squeezed juice, or a big, frothy smoothie made of said juice.
Juicy Lucy on Commercial Drive delivers just that. This cool little restaurant also serves up big, yummy salads with fresh greens, veggies, and seeds. -

I was at Juicy Lucy's twice last week and left a little disappointed both times. The first visit, I just stopped in for a juice with a co-worker. I ordered a small, not realizing that it was only four ounces of juice! The juice was tasty and fresh, but my 4 oz shot for $3.50 versus my companions $5.00 large 14 oz felt like a bit of a rip off.
My next visit was for a performance review with one of my staff. She was in the mood for a smoothie, so we popped in. My Coco Beach smoothie lacked an coconut flavour and wasn't even really a smoothie. It was quite watery and I felt like I was drinking juice that ice had melted in. The berry smoothie my co-worker ordered was the same. Disappointing for a place that offers smoothies as one of its main menu options. -

Great fresh juice and food. Nice little hang out for a cheap, filling lunch. I often get lemon and ginger, while my buddy will go for the hangover detox. I always get a good feed from this place, without feeling bloated.

A nice, moderately priced Commercial Drive hang out serving up sandwiches and flax rolls to suit any good vegetarian's palate. The real treat though, is the smoothies that they whip up with fresh fruits and veggies. If you come on a warm day you can sit out front on the sidewalk and watch the Commercial Drive parade go by.
