Review from Kim C.
Perfectly acceptable italian-american fare. The restaurant itself is clean and has displays of pasta/sauce/etc, and bonus points for the bathroom, which pipes italian language lessons through the sound system!
The house salad, though iceberg lettuce as the base, has interesting veggies such as chickpeas, red onion, kalamata olives and cucumbers in the mix - much better than the usual tomato and lettuce combo.
Eggplant parmesan sandwich is flavorful with super tasty marinara - chicken parm fares equally as well.
Nothing super authentic or exceptional, but perfectly fine if you're looking for a quick/friendly italian-american feel. -

We were staying at the KOA right down the road and drove past this place a couple of times. Finally we decided to stop in and try it. We had good service, all of our dishes tasted great and they brought out real blocks of Parm cheese and shredded it right on your food at the table. I would have given 5 stars but the parking....
Note: Park across the street in the shopping center lot on Lundy's Lane. Getting in and out of their lot even if you find a spot is nuts. We just drove through and knew it was a bad setup so did the walk. -

I came here a little over a year ago, so my review might be outdated but when I did go there I really enjoyed myself at Johnny Rocco's.
I came here with my family for a large lunch after a morning full of walking at the falls. The atmosphere inside is very cozy and it looked like I was in a much older Italian eatery even though I swear this place just opened a few years ago. The dining area was immaculate and so were the washrooms. I loved the classic Italian-American tunes that were playing because it truly added to the ambiance of the restaurant.
Our server was very friendly from the moment she took our orders till the time she said her good-byes. She automatically gave the child in our group a set of crayons to use and quickly took our drink orders. She made meal recommendations and we took them. The only thing that bugged me was that she was overly attentive. The lady was at our table almost every 3-5 minutes asking us if we were fine. That was just a minor gripe though.
The food was really good. It was Italian-American fare so we weren't expecting true rustic foods from Italy. We started with some calamari and bruschetta. Both tasted fresh and the calamari was very light , which I really liked. For my main I had the Spaghetti Bolognese. The pasta was cooked right and the sauce was meaty. I was seriously stuffed when the meal was done. I was totally looking like Mario Batali by the end of the meal. I hear they also do Italian tapas, which I must try the next time I'm there. The price of the meal was very reasonable and it was a little more then a 100$ for the five of us that went. We didn't order any wine so I'm not sure about their wine list.
Johnny Rocco's Italian Grill was really great and since I went with my family, I highly recommend it for those with kids. I'm almost certain I will be back the next time I am in the area. -

We expected a decent meal judging by the appearance of the restaurant. We went with a four and a seven year old. Overall, the waitress was ditsy and forgetful. She made my kids wait way too long for their food.
I ordered sausages with penne noodles. The meal ended up being noodles with two paper-thin sausage slices. The waitress took ten minutes to bring me a little bowl of additional sausage after I asked her.
By wife's meal way very unremarkable.
The bar also kept serving a totally smashed man who was bothering customers. He was swerving all over the restaurant, making people feel uncomfortable, yet they kept on serving him beer at the bar.
One positive thing was the singer who performed with an acoustic guitar out on the terrace. He was fantastic. His play list was amazing.
