So I use to be a regular shopper here. They have excellent quality shoes and many cannot be found at any other stores around here. Their prices are higher than normal, but that comes with the brand names and the quality of the shoes.

I've usually received excellent customer service here. At one point, one of the saleswomen actually remembered my foot size.

That being said, my shopping days at JD shoes are limited due to other finanical priorities right now. But I would recommend JD shoes to anyone. And don't forget about their 50 - 80% off sales they have :)

I'm one of those people that's spent more on one pair of boots than on my rent, so I have no problem with pricey shoes, especially when they're great quality. And John David's has some great quality shoes and an awesome selection of Michael Kors. Makes my shoe-loving heart go pitter patter.

So why, everytime I go into that store, do I leave empty handed? One reason: sales staff. After reading other reviews, I'm starting to think that perhaps I always look like a shmuck when shoe shopping, because I never get good service here. Never ever. Sales staff routinely ignore me and my shopping party (even when it's blatently obvious that one of us is desperate to try something on) and seem intent on serving anyone over the age of 45, but never a girl in her twenties. I know I might not be dressed in my finest, but I spend good money on my shoes and shoddy service is never ok.

People under 40 buy shoes John David. Sometimes we even buy pricey Michael Kors shoes. Maybe tell your staff that.

Well, I took the plunge and decided to go treat myself to a nice quality pair of dress shoes. I went with my sister-in-law, who insisted that a good quality pair of heels could actually be comfortable. Was I surprised that she was right! The sales person that helped me was an absolute delight (Jillian) and helped me find just the shoe I was looking for. I was so pleased with the service and selection that I actually walked out with a pair of dress sandals, a pair of beautiful heels and a pair of amazing boots! Getting lots of compliments... I'll be back. :-)

OMG now I know how Carrie Bradshaw feels in Sex in the City.  Shoes, shoes and more shoes.  And the dangerous part is that there is a 50% off sale, shhh please don't tell anyone until I get back down.

I went two years ago and walked out with three pairs yikes. But yes I do love them and I still keep them in the box after I wear them.  Now it is true what they say is that you get what you paid for and when these sales like this happens you can actually afford these shoes and they will last.  My black patten wedges which is now going on their third summer look like new.

John David shoes has been around for sometime and specializes in high quality high fashions shoes. From flats to those stilettos that will make any ones head turn to Gladiators.  Funny I was with my BFF yesterday and we were looking through the window like I kid at Disneyland would saying I want those and those.  We are going back today look out.

This Park Lane shop satisfies my lust for eye-catching shoes and stilettos. The store's owner has scoured dozens of shows, scoping out the hottest trends to showcase at the namesake store. And boy are these styles incredible! There are a whole bunch of different shoes for each buyer's tastes- from flats, to boots, to towering heels, there's something for everyone at John David. (also worth noting: pretty much every style here is available in half-sizes, which isn't always the case eleswhere- perfect for my 7 1/2 sized feet!)

The service here is excellent: one of the uber-friendly staff will be eager to help you out if you need help finding a style, size, or even to help you decide if a particular shoe looks good on you. But if you prefer to simply browse, the staff aren't pushy- they'll let you shop around without any pressure.

Prices can be a little steep here (you get what you pay for);  fortunately there seems to always be a sale, so you can find some great deals. Fair word of warning, though: this store gets VERY busy when sales are on (guess I'm not the only one who loves these shoes!!)

Fancy Feet, and all grown up! John David Shoes provides a refined offering of ladies footwear. Peep toes, wedges, and classic pumps for days; this is a great shop for ladies with a little extra cash to burn and an eye for dynamite designs.

Michael Kors, anyone? John David is all about him... as I browsed the store, MK was easily the most stocked designer. I noticed lots of open-toe footwear, whether it was casual or vavavoom. All styles were classic, elegant and undeniably posh. Towards the back there were some more "comfortable" and "sporty" shoes, and yet it all seems cohesive.

While I admired the shoes and made my way around, there wasn't anything here that I was particularly in love with. Perhaps I prefer a less classic look for my own tootsies. It is true, however, that many girls can walk into John David and find their fortune. Trés bon!

Service was absolutely horrid. I cannot express this enough.

I LOVE shoes and I especially LOVE Michael Kors, but when an employee is extremely rude and slams a door in my face, do you think I'll go back and buy shoes? I would much rather order shoes online and pay $40 extra dollars for shipping than to give my money to a company that employs such a man.

I previously had such great service here and the lady who seemed like his superior tried to correct his rude demeanor (for no apparent reason) but his consistent unprofessional behavior was enough for me to give up on this store.

Usually when looking for great places to shop I not only look for quality product, but helpful and welcoming staff. This store although has much of the first, has very poor customer service. I have never received service that was remotely this poor.

Congratulations John David shoes, I am taking my business elsewhere.

So, I know realize that most of the shoes in here are supposed to be designer and therefore desirable, but I didn't see anything that really stuck my fancy... and I'm quite a shoe fanatic.

Most of the boots seemed to have a lot of the crocodile skin look in flashy colours.  And other than boots, it was mostly strappy, open-toed heals, some of which still had the croc skin look.  Not that I have anything against that look, some people can really pull it off.  But it's not for me.

The shoe pricing was still pretty expensive, even though there was a %50 off sale.  I couldn't imagine seeing the actually cost of those shoes.  I'm probably just jealous that I can't afford them though.  I guess a lot of people can because the store was pretty full of women.  In fact, there wasn't an open seat to try anything on because there were so many people in there.

There was one really nice salesguy that I encountered.  I was looking at some flats and he came over and told me that most of them had a built-in gel cushions or insoles.  He took a moment to show me what he meant, then smiled and walked to someone else.  I loved that he didn't stick around by my side and shop with me, much like some other salespeople might.  It was just a nice experience that I thought I'd share with you.

John David Shoes has been one of my favourite places and I have sent many a people there, especially when there is a sale.  I sent my sister there and she bought some pretty slamin shoes, I was jealous!  And she got a fantastic deal.

I will admit, I have gone in here and saw nothing that jumped out at me, but when I am in the need for a pair, this is one of my first stops.

The staff are really nice, no pressure sales, and this is why they keep their clientele happy.

As a mostly casual dresser, I don't have frequent needs for "big girl shoes", but dress-up opportunities do present themselves occasionally, so I keep my eye out for good deals on nice shoes. This was the busiest store in the Spring Garden Shopping Centre on the recent Tuesday afternoon that I visited, so they clearly have something going right. I saw a few pairs I was interested in, but the price tags were high for my budget - $230-250 for wonderfully soft leather heels by Everybody. The collection here also included Hush Puppies, Miz Mooz, Jessica Simpson, lots of Marc Jacobs and others. I was approached by a salesman (was it John David himself?) who offered up helpful information about the show I was admiring, but moved on before I felt pressured by his help. I'd say that the quality of customer service and steep sales make this a good place to check out if you're in the market for new shoes.
