It's always fun to go to Joey's and the Burrard location is just a few blocks from us. We always get the sushi cones. They are amazing. In fact, last weekend when we ate there we just had appetizers and drinks. Along with the sushi cones we had the pork dumplings (gyoza), also very nice.
My husband says Joey's Caesar is one the best he's had. Most Vancouver restaurants try to do their spin on the Caesar, (we've seen some weird stuff stuck in his drinks), Joey's is just right.
I stuck with the Thai Lovers Martini. Lovely. In the past I've ordered the Long Island Tea, but they make them rather differently in Canada. They are mostly coke, and end up tasting like a rum/vodka and coke. Nothing resembling a Tea at all. I'll be back in Dallas this week and maybe I'll make my own - that could be dangerous.
We've been to the Burrard Joey's and everything we've eaten has been great. There's loads of outdoor seating if you choose that. Inside, the restaurant is gorgeous.
Lastly, the staff is the best. Personable and professional, they all work together as a team to make sure your have everything you need and clear all of those pesky dirty plates away. -

I'm a fan of this Joey's. Frankly, Joey's in general is pretty good but this one is close by to me so I eat there a lot.
In all reality everything I have already tried on their menu has been fantastic. Portions can be slightly small if you're used to bigger portioned pub fares. However, it is filling. I can't say I've walked away from Joey's feeling hungry.
The hostess and waitress are very well trained and super polite and chipper. They take the time and opportunity to explain the feature and drink selections and will take your drink order when you sit down! yay! If there is a menu item you like but doesn't come with quite the right sides, you're free to swap it. The waitress will even explain to you the different options for swapping.
Drink selections are also decent.
The decor and ambience is fantastic and the seats are ultra comfy.
In all seriousness, the best trained staff and one of the best menu in town. Their alfredo is a must try. It is my fav. -

Came here for some drinks walking around the early evening and we walked right in to the lounge/bar area (I am American so I tend to stick to my ways), very upscale outside and in, they had some TVs with sports on to keep guys entertained but not too many where I don't lose focus too much. Drinks were ordered, made and delivered quickly with no issues, and the edamame was pretty good.
Would I come back again, sure why not but since I m visiting and there are a lot of bars and lounges to try, I m not sure. -

Wow! Thanks Vancouver Yelpers! Bunch of folks from all over the world for a conference and six of us trusted your suggestion. Each of us ordered different things... Ahi sandwich and mushroom soup, Basa, chicken, pasta, steatite and sushi... Everyone said they'd go back. I had two drinks, an appetizer and main course.. And stayed under my Corp limit for dinner. Great service ... Great food. Nice decor, easy access downtown. Can't ask for a better deal.
I'll be back! -

Met friends from out of town here. It's not the type of restaurant I would go to on my own accord (I'm more of a hole-in-the-wall-ethnic-food girl), rather it's the sort of place I end up going with friends because it's a safe choice. The place looks nice, it's clean, chic decor and clean bathrooms - all things that make it a safe choice. I ordered the mushroom cheeseburger. The burger was tasty - thick patty and lots of mushrooms. However, the fries were soggy. I would have expected them to be better.
Watch out for the credit card/debit machine. It calculates tip percentage on top of the after tax amount. Sneaky, and I'm sure other places do that too but this was the first time that I actually noticed. -
Review from Yashar Y.
Went here for a very late night drink and food.
The decor and ambiance are the only nice things about this place. Other than that it's the same as most other places in dt: over priced drinks, mediocre food, hot hostess and crowds of sausage groups thinking they are something else. -
Review from Kwoky L.
From the outside, Joey's looks rather upscale and quite intimidating. I was there for lunch two weekends ago and I was surprised how reasonable their lunch menu was.
I had a seared tuna burger with fried onions, relish, and fries on the side and my meal costs about $15. Mind you, the tuna was on the higher end of the menu but there are several other options that are cheaper. It's great for budget-conscious people who wants to dine in at a sit-down. It's tasted pretty good by the way, although the tuna could be a little warmer.
Service was OK, not the most personable but our waitress made sure we had a pleasant experience. I would definitely be back next time. -
Review from Haedis L.
I want to give Joey's 3.75 stars, just feel like that's fitting for it.
Visually Joey's is exquisite and chic, if you're attentive enough you can notice the beautiful waitresses sneaking a mental rest against a computer, the nice and fully functional outdoor heaters, or the sleek crisp menu's which contain a vast selection of alcohol and Americanized food.
I didn't have much of a chance to go over the food section, only pausing to customize the only vegetarian dish to vegan. Although a a bit salty, the lettuce wraps were enjoyable and they were courteous enough to ask if it could include honey.
I can't say anything bad about Joey's as I believe they have hit their mark of having higher class dining with consistently good food and drinks. I just find it a bit lacking in pizazz! I am a little quirkly myself and I like dining establishments to break the mold a little bit. It seemed a little too molded.
I respect their attention to detail, they seem very thorough and put on a good company face, I suppose I'm just missing a little bit of weirdness.
However it still remains a nice excuse to get dressed up and we do have that gift card... :) -

It's so hard to find dining options downtown Vancouver " late night "
Such a pleasant surprise to discover that Joeys kitchen was open until almost 1am!
Tonight was the second time my boyfriend and I ate here around 1130- midnight. Tonight was better then the last time, which wasn't too bad at all.
We started with belinis. This is the first place that I have had it served with a large peach. It freezes and is absolutely yummy! The frozen consistancy of the drink itself is very smooth ( not chunky which I hate).
It was extremely tasty and went down quickly - I had 2 .
We were starving, so we ordered the shrimp and pesto flatbread to start.
I ordered steak and he ordered a chicken burger.
Although the waitress seemed to have a slight bit of attitude, this did not detract from the prompt service we received. Our main courses came just as I was finishing my first cocktail.
The steak was served with egg roll wrapped potatoes which were amazing! The veggie was carrots which were ok but over cooked to some degree. The steak itself was more rare then medium as I ordered, but it was juicy, tasty, and entirely consumed!!
My boyfriends chicken burger was met with his approval which says a lot. He paired it with a green salad with poppyseed dressing.
The flatbread came just after our main courses, so we special requested that they vent it and cool it in the fridge so it wouldn't get soggy. They obliged ! I can't say how the flat bread was as we have yet to indulge but looking forward to it
Over all very happy that there is a late night option that serves such great cocktails, is close to my place and isn't pizza or nasty chinese food!Listed in: Downtown Vancouver, Yummmmm

Review from Amanda L.
This location is a little unusual, they had a hostess seating people for the patio and the lounge and dining areas were self seating. Problem with this is there is nothing indicating it so I waited 10 minutes to be told I can just walk inside and seat myself because I wasn't interested in sitting on the packed patio.
Our waitress was really friendly and quite accommodating with our switcheroo of guests at our table. I went with my boyfriend who ordered and got the bill right away as he was leaving when my friends met me there for dinner.
They have really good soy chicken for non meat eaters and they will sub it in for meat on items it is not on the menu for. Everyone's food looked amazing and their slush drinks are fantastic! -

Review from Natalie P.
I really like this Joey's. I enjoy the decor, the layout of the restaurant (so that from the dining room you can't hear the lounge), and of course the menu.
I'm a vegetarian so I love that there are quite a few options that can be made with a soy-based meat alternative. My favourite dish is the butter "chicken," which is just a bit spicy and served with excellent almond rice pilaf. My boyfriend's go-to dish is the maple salmon which he really enjoys, especially for the reasonable price.
It's not the fanciest restaurant but it's a good meal, decently priced, and in a convenient location if you're already downtown. -

Whoa!
If you're a connoisseur of imaginative cuisine such as pizza, fries & burgers Joey serves them. On plates.
And if you're a music aficionado who loves artists like Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi and KISS Joey plays them all. Really loud.
If you're a suburban gangster who finds Bellinis just a tad too stiff then the expert bartenders at Joey can mix you a sweet cocktail instead. They have Finlandiaaaaaaa. And maraschino cherries too. And Joey also has hot waitresses just waiting to reject your drunken advances.
Unfortunately I'm none of those things so thpppt. But hey, boogy on Joey. Boogy on.Listed in: Watering Holes.

One step above Cactus Club/Milestones/Earl's. The food is a little pricier, the decor is a little nicer, the drinks menu is a little more elaborate, the other customers are dressed up a little more (seriously ladies, why so much makeup?). The TV screens in the lounge have gilt frames around them.
I had a mushroom swiss burger, it totally fell apart and was therefore difficult to eat. but it tasted good. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, especially since we wanted to switch from the dining room to the lounge so we could watch the hockey game, and it was crowded. My friend had a big salad, she said it was good and there was so much of it she couldn't finish it. I wasn't paying this time so I can't say how much the bill came to, but from the menu prices I can say it probably wasn't cheap.
If you need a safe place to take someone and you have some money in your pocket, this is probably the place for you. -
Review from Frank E.
I used to not be a fan of Joey's restaurants but this was a nice home away from home. In comparison to the Joey's on Burrard to that in Seattle, WA and Bellevue, WA, the decor is at a much higher quality. The staff was overall very friendly.
The party I was with had a mix of pasta and burgers and everybody was satisfied with their meal. I will come back here again because the food and menu choices are overall good. With a mix of decor and positive service, it makes a good "go to" restaurant if you're unsure.
The bathrooms are amazing and I really like the glowing picture of the toilet hanging from a tree in the men's bathroom. I believe Earl's is also part of the same company and I like Joey's menu and style better. Both places are good.

Came here as a big group, and must say this is one of the better experiences.
There is a nice large heated patio outside, and a red carpet leading to the entrance.
Parking is only on the street, but the place is conveniently close to SkyTrain.
Today I had the Beef Sandwich au jus. The sandwich had a generous helping of beef but was a bit lacking on the sauteed onions. The bun was hot and toasted. It came with a nice dish of horseradish sauce and a big bowl of, well, jus. The fries were a bit cold but maybe it just sat for a while before the server brought it over.
The staff were very friendly and attractive. I always like it when they introduce themselves by name. Makes the service much more personable.
Even though we had 9 people, they didn't slap a mandatory tip on us, which was nice.
My only complaint is that it was a bit too loud on the inside. I couldn't hear what my friends across the table were saying. We were in the lounge area. -
Review from Betty L.
Went to Joey for a friend's birthday and had a really nice time. The place feels really spacious and modern. The server was really friendly and cute. Since one of my friends wanted to keep track of the Canuck's game score, he would give her updates on it.
I enjoyed my mojito and the food was pretty good too. I ordered the gyoza and it was really good. The dumpling skin was thin and nicely panfried. The filling inside was really juicy. For the main course, I had the hailbut with prawn and spaghettini. The portion was decent, I could eat more since it was so good.
Since parking is pretty expensive in that area, I won't go back unless I have to get some retail therapy on Robson. -

I know this is like any other chain restaurant, but what makes this place a little different?
1) friendly staff that really go out of the way
2) love the special drinks, had the slush long island ice tea
3) had the steak and it was divine, juicy and tender, perfectly cooked -

One of my favs for downtown dining. Great energetic atmosphere for hanging out with friends. The lounge gets busy at night with people either chatting it up or watching sports on TV. The restaurant side can also get busy on weekends during peak times. Combined with the upbeat techno musak, it does tend to get a bit on the noisy side but not so much that you can't have a decent conversation with people across the table.
I've been overall quite satisfied with most of their food. Even their side salad is not the usual boring fare but instead includes pecans, cranberries, wild greens tossed with a honey vinaigrette dressing. The desserts include their awesome apple pie and lava cake.Comment from Keiko R. of Joey Burrard 12/15/2010

Always a good time at Joeys. There are not many places in the down town core where you can get consistantly good food & drinks, fast service, and beautiful waitresses! Best thing on the menu, ahi tuna club! mmm a nice fresh slab of tuna with an onion ring! I could eat that one every day! Everything on the menu is really good though.. Friday is the best Steigl beer on special! We were able to get a seat right in front of one of the tv's and were able to watch champions league soccer uninterrupted! Good times...

Great for after work drinks or dinner!
We've never been disappointed with this Joeys location. You will be greeted warmly at the door by extremely friendly staff. If there is a wait, you can sit on the comfy sofas and relax until your table is ready. The menu usually offers something interesting, one of my favorites being the maple salmon with crispy mashed potatos and asparagus. Mmmmm. On the rare occasion that the kitchen has over-cooked a dish or that we have had a complaint, the staff have always gone the extra mile to ensure they make it right.
For drinkers (I'm not one), they offer a full bar with a great selection of wines.
They used to have a sticky toffee pudding desert that would push me over the top -- they discontinued it. I long for the day it's back on the menu. In the meantime their molten lava cake and apple pie won't disappoint. -

We dined here a coupe of nights ago. All I have to say is B-O-R-I-N-G! The food and menu that is. The interior is great and very trendy but it is the menu that disappoints. There is very little selection, and they only offer two types of pasta.
We found the food a tad bit salty and the burgers they serve are the same size of McDonald's... I would expect more from an establishment like Joey, freshly prepared items rather than pre made/processed foods.
The quality of food has gone down and the service needs to improve. It was a busy evening and there was only one server on the floor which left us waiting and waiting to get our cheque.
It was a year since we last dined there and at the time it was still called "Joeys" and I think it should have stayed that way! -

5 stars for the bathro.. err.. washroom alone.
This definitely goes on my list of "North America's Most Innovative Janes."
Gorgeous black & white fleur d' le wall paper, tiled counter tops, and frosted glass w/ champagne colored curtains make you want to drink and drink and visit this room in the back of the restaurant, over and over again.
I really liked Joey's for it's convenient location (near our hotel) and their 'chic sportsbar' feel. Modern decor with black chandeliers and wall art made for a nice stop for beers, wine, and small bites twice when we were up in the 'Couv this weekend.
The first time we were in, we enjoyed some mid afternoon pints. I had a bucked of Hooegarden (woohoo!). The second time, we shared the skinniest fries I've ever seen in my life (very good and crispy) and some pork gyoza (good stuff) while we watched a little NFL action on their giant flatscreens.
Great stop in for drinks and bites. I noticed their entree portions were huge, so maybe next time were up in Canada, we'll stop in for some noshin.' All in all, I'd def come back.. The service was good..
and did I mention they had cool bath.. er washrooms?Listed in: Oh, Canada..., Vancouver Eats!

A-ok.
We came here for supper after seeing a matinee down the street. This is a great bet for casual/fun dining. If you are out with a mixed group, or looking to unwind after a movie, this place will please.
Not date-worthy or somewhere to go for a foodie experience; Joey Burrard is similar to cactus club or earls but with a more chill/trendy vibe. We sat on the right-hand side, which was well lit with cool renaissance/baroque art in large digital photo-frames, since the lounge area to the left looked dark and unappealing. (I'm sure it picks up later on.)
Food-wise, The lobster dip appetizer was the biggest hit at our table. -

It's a chain, yes - but it's a lively place with friendly servers -even on a hockey night.
I have three favourite things to share about Joeys:
1. Drink specials EVERY night of the week - not just weeknights.
Fridays are supersonic gin and tonics or supernova vodka sodas --both great! Vanilla vodka with soda and a splash of boozy-lemon slush = yummy!
2. Gyozas.
I know, not an Asian restaurant. But I leave there scratching my head at how they make them so tasty!
3. Moulton Lava Cake (I think is its name)
The ooziness of the chocolate is making my mouth water right now!
Enjoy the plentiful televisions and modern-eclectic dark decor. Also, if you're so lucky to sit at one of the low lounge tables, make sure your server shows you how your table can be adjusted depending on if you're eating or drinking or both.Listed in: Vancouver Girl's Night Outs, Vancouver Burgers

Earls is opening a new restaurant, I mean Moxies, no wait, Joeys. Yes it's true, Joeys is opening a new restaurant. Who cares?
Solid question. Joeys and earls are owned by the Fuller family, a clan evidently not given to bouts of creativity. The two chains are identical in approach, food and liquids. Joeys is opening a new location at the Bentall Center which boasts a wine room stocking a vast selection of by the glass wines.
What do you know, innovation. Well, it's not very innovative, but for a chain given to unremarkable cookie cutter restaurants, a different colour paint coat would be a welcome change. Go to one Joeys, and you've been to every Joeys. -

This is a great place for dinner and drinks. There's a lounge area with a bar, televisions, small tables. The middle and right of the restaurant are sit down tables for dinner.
The decor is really modern and elegant. The bathroom was really pretty. Nicest bathroom in Vancouver I would say.
The food menu was really reasonably priced. I would have liked to see more on there but we ordered the Ahi Tuna and the Steak and both were good.
Support staff was great, answered our touristy questions, and obliged our photo taking requests.
There's also a nice sit down area outside. -

Of all the Joeys restaurants in B.C., this is my least favourite.
I am not going to write a review of the food or drinks specifically because, well, if you have been to Earls, Cactus Club, Brown's, Moxie's, etc. you know what you are getting. To my mind, Joeys is pretty close to being the best of the bunch of these chains. A fairly adventurous menu (not as good as Cactus has been under Rob Feenie but waaaay better than Earls), certainly the best wine list and decent interiors. Really though, there isn't a ton they are doing that differentiates them from their 'competitors' (in brackets because Earls, Saltlik, Cactus, Joeys all exist under a single corporate family).
By default, simply due to its lack of originality in any way, Joeys restaurants would have a very very very difficult time getting higher than a 4 star rating in my books and to get up to that rating, the consistency of quality food, service and atmosphere would have to be spectacular.
Unfortunately, for this location, in all areas, I have found that things are just very inconsistent. Service varies, food quality varies, the way drinks are made varies, the speed at which you get your order (regardless of the time of night) varies. It is all just very very underwhelming.
One-star does seem a bit harsh...and it is. This Joeys location might have squeaked by with a two-star, but, the arrival of the newer Joeys location at Bentall centre (just a short walk down the street) completely negates your reason for going to this iteration of the franchise. The Bentall Centre Joeys has a way better staff, a different menu (!?!) that seems to be executed much more consistently and a fairly unique (for that sort of restaurant) 'wine room' that is packed to the rafters early in the evenings. Go there instead. -

Predictive dishes and wait staff but as much it morally pains me to give a chain 5 stars, I must give them a thumbs up for 2 things:
1) Apple Pie with Maple Ice Cream - Okay, I've had a lot of apple pie in my day but the combination of individually baked apple pie with crumbly deliciousness and the maple ice cream *throws hands up in air*? Jesus, I'm drooling while I type! Mouth orgasm if you never knew it.
2) Peach Bellinis - Peach slurpee + alcohol + frozen peach garnish = i.Heart
Recommended for late night drinks. I think last call on drinking nights is 12ish.
**Food Pervert's 5-star Disclaimer: This rating means it's one of my favourite places to go for what it offers. Please leave any foodie wannabe syndromes and red carpet expectations at the door.** -

I used to travel a lot around Canada for work and when ever I was unsure of where to eat in a new city..I knew I could always count on Joeys. It may not to super duper fine dinning and top notch quality..but everything I have ever had is pretty darn tasty....and trust me I have eaten almost everything on the menu.
Lately I have noticed a trend in chains such as Joeys becoming a little more trendy and modernizing thier look. This newer location is very city chic and has an urban modern aesthetic. I really love the light boxes with the tress..and the washrooms are AMAZING..worth the trip alone right Katie;)
I recommend a few things off the menu..the fish tacos, the Chicken Burger, the Joey's Burger, the steak with the twice backed potatoes...ay dios mio you will LOVE them...mashed potaotes stuffed into a spring roll and deep fried..that's right...deep...fried... -

Had a lovely dinner at Joey Burrard last night.
Came in without a reservation at 9pm for 3 people on a Saturday and we were seated right away. Place was very busy but not full.
Had great service and food was excellent, gyoza, goat cheese dip, rotisserie chicken was so delicious, spaghetti Kobe Meatballs and the Burger Sliders we're all very good.
Definitely recommend the place and only downside was the let go in the cleanliness of the bathroom. -

Joeys is nice and spacious inside with comfy booths. Nice light fixtures and carpet pattern.
The food is yummy too. The Ahi Tuna Tacos are one of my favorites. Also, the peach bellini has a yummy slice of frozen peach in it. Little cheese burger sliders are great to split amongst your food-party too.
I just wish they didn't take away the make your own Sundae that was on the dessert menu when it opened. For that dessert, you got to put on your own toppings and there was a SPRINKLES shaker!!! (like a salt shaker or parmesan type shaker at a pizza place, but for rainbow sprinkles!). Mmmm. BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!!
Also what they cut out of the menu were the california taco appetizer and the ginger beef. Too bad!
Eating good, familiar chain-restaurant-food can be so comforting. Yay for Joeys! -

Two Joeys within a span of 500 meters from each other? Congrats for surviving but in this world of upscale chains and Olympics around the corner.. not to mention the lifestyles of Vancouverites - it's really a no brainer of why it works.
The exterior looks fancy.. with outside waiting space decorated with white wood cut chairs, and a heater to stay warm. Walking in, the music is blaring and it's obviously you would want to sit in the dining area if you are planning on carry a conversation with the person next to you.
The table we were sat at was in front of a giant HORSE (really a lifesize horse sculpture) with a lamp drilled into its head. Interesting, different, a little awkward and uncomfortable with it in my site.
I ordered the vegetarian lettuce wraps, with noodles, peanuts (minimal), mushrooms, peppers, hoisin and fish sauce. One word - SALTY, drenched in the hoisin sauce that you can't taste anything else. I understand lettuce needs to be cleaned, but I think throwing it in a salad dryer would help a lot.. instead of me having to dry each piece with my own napkin. My joey's burst - which is strawberry (or raspberry or lime) puree, bar lime and soda water was way too sweet.. I had to water it down majorly.
The chicken flatbread with yogurt sauce on the side (thank goodness)... tasted a little odd. It was sweet and tangy to the point where I could not taste the chicken flavour, my friend liked it, but it tasted a little like dessert for dinner.
If you have a big appetite, go for the roasted chicken dinner - it is one big massive half chicken, imagine it to be the size of both your hands - looked delicious.. tasted tender, but once again heavy hand on the salt.... sigh I am bland food eater.
The waitress was super nice.. told us that the new Local Pub Eatery that took over Malone's in Kits is actually owned by Joeys - I don't know if that'll sway anyone to head over there.
This location, although fancier, definitely did not seem as pretentious as the one up the street by Bentall. It's amazing how location can change demographics, even if it's down the street. -

The name of the restaurant is Joey, actually, not Joeys as indicated here.
The fish tacos I had today at Joey were better than any tacos I've ever had. The flour tortilla was perfectly crisped while retaining a slight chewy texture - like crispy chicken skin :) The order came with 3 tacos filled with lettuce, tomato, cheese, fried fish, fried shrimps, and, my favourite, loads of cilantro.
I lived in California for over 10 years and never grew fond of the Cal-Mex cuisine. I think I might actually like tacos now. Who knew! -

First time at this location. Have been to the one in Burquitlam and on Broadway before, so I knew what to expect. While it was not a warm Day O' Fun, the frozen bellinis were calling.
Did you notice the outdoor seating area before you walk in the restaurant? Oh so pretty. I would love to sit there with a drink, but the rules have changed and you can't anymore. Sniff sniff. The hostess told me the area is only for people waiting for tables.
We walked in and were steered towards the left, towards the lounge. It was a little dark: dark lighting, dark furniture... all the servers in black. We sat at a round table, which I like when you are in a big group. They no longer have pitchers of frozen drinks anymore! Whaa?? Why?? Sad faces all around. So I got a regular bellini. I think their frozen drinks are perfect. Like a slurpee, but better because it has alcohol. To combat the effects of alcohol, we got two orders of the buffalo wings. They were good... the blue cheese dressing was awesome. There were even chunks of cheese in it! I used my wing to scoop the cheese... repeatedly.
Now if we had gone to the right, it is like the opposite of all that is the left side. It's brighter and quiet. I love the art on the wall... they look like tvs with frames around them. How smart to be so non-committal since they'll probably change their décor over and over anyhow. -

Visited with out of town guests the other night and must say I was impressed with the restaurant.
The interior is modern and interesting, filled with large comfortable chairs to create a moderately intimate feeling. Fortunately, they allowed us to sit at our reserved table without requiring all of our guests to be there (hooray).
Waitstaff was amazing -- super friendly and extremely helpful in answering questions, making suggestions, and delivering our orders.
The menu covers all of the American basics, from fried calamari to steaks. There aren't any big surprises and there is something for everyone to enjoy. I opted for a lighter option and had the seared Ahi salad. The tuna was lightly seared and the greens coated in a ginger dressing.
My only complaint would be the noise level, a mix of semi-loud music and customers. I found it difficult to have a casual conversation with our guests and felt like I was shouting more than usual. -

Dropped by here after attending a wedding just up the street and it was the perfect place to chill out and have a few drinks before trekking on from the ceremony to the reception.
Decor is typical Joey's but the service is definitely a notch better than the Coquitlam location.
I must say it is far more enjoyable on a lazy weekend afternoon than it is when it gets packed in the evening. As a result service was paced nicely and laid back with no rush whatsoever. -
Review from Vivian Y.
I'd recommend this place for drinks. It's trendy, energetic and the staff are all HOT women. I think men will be highly mesmerized by the good looking staff but all the men must have been at home or a pub watching Hockey Day in Canada.
In any case, really good ambiance and great service. I was able to get my favorite mocktail, muddled mint, strawberries, simple syrup and club soda by request. The bartender did an an amazing job with it and then my mom stole it from me - so I had to order another!
Food however, very very mediocre. We ordered the chicken lettuce wraps to start and being a salty food lover, I think it was very, very salty. Aside from that, the dish was all chow mein and barely any meat at all. The lettuce was fresh and crisp, but that's expected right?
My brother ordered the Bombay butter chicken. The curry itself was good but the naan was terrible. It was a grilled large pita and the rice was NOT very authentic. It was a terrible mash up of long grain rice instead of the fragrant basmati rice.
My sister in law ordered the seafood linguine. The dish was "UGLY". It was tossed in pesto and tomatoes but it looked more like a pukey brown sauce. Taste in my opinion was ok, but again too salty.
I ordered the baja fish taco's (which the waitress said, "oh this is my favorite dish" so I figured I made a great choice! Well, again very mediocre. There were just a few pieces of very salty fried fish and some shrimp topped with the expected toppings which were fresh.
I'd come again to hang out with friends for drinks before a night out but I'd skip the food. Next time, I'll be sure to choose where to eat. Ack..hate medicore food.
