I visited Jiwon on a quiet Summer day when Families had a holiday.
Jiwon's Mom & Pop were there to serve while their little Boy watch TV.
The Mom served me in a friendly smiling manner and the Pop cooked.
Most seating in this roughly 30-seat restaurant were 4-seater booths.
Hard straight back booth seating that has some loose cushions for support.
Single diner, I was served 4 Banchan dishes(Sprouts, Daikon, Kimchi, Fishcake slices)
Mandoo Noodle($6.99)
Much like the ones I had at Man Doo Hyang which is south of Steeles.
Noodles with nice chew in a very light flavoured Beef broth. This type of dish is where I leave the ideal of addictive flavours behind for the offset by Noodles texture, slurp-a-bility and bite.
If only there was a place with a perfect combination of Korean chewy handmade Noodles, Japanese chug-to-the-last-drop Broth, and Chinese generous portion of Meats/Veg. One can dream.
I wouldn't mind coming back for a light snack sometime again.Listed in: Hanguk, Pull my Noodles - Korea +…

Having dinner this evening at Jiwon Green made me feel like I am eating at home...
- Ma asked me what I feel like eating, then she got me the banchens
- Dad cooked my food for me
- Watching Korean Soap Opera together while I was eating
Jiwon Green's menu is really simple.. noodle, soup, dumplings, fried rice...
Banchens were simple but nicely prepared. My spicy tofu with seafood ($6.99) has mostly squid and a few piece of baby mussels.. aside from tofu, there were quite a bit of cabbage too.
Korean's drama was quite entincing as my "parents" left me alone to enjoy my food. I pretend I understood what's going on.. but how complicated was that when my ma and me both eyeing the good looking guy on TV!
I might drop by for their lunch specials! $4.99 till 3 pm seems like a great deal!Listed in: Korean Town North!, Mashi-e-sawyo! Korean…
