My mean ol' car decided it needed to go to the doctor last week. I took it to see Doctor Jim. Truth be told, it was the first time I'd been a big girl and took my own car in to see something done to it. 26 and I'm finally not calling my dad to fix my issues. Go me!
Anyway, I took the Yaris in because the brakes were screaming and I didn't want them to stop working and make me the one to scream.
Jimmy took care of me and the car and made some good recommendations for keeping her in good health going forward. Seems I've been a bit of a slacker, so the price tag was a tag high, but nothing was individually outrageously priced. When you put it all together (if I was clever I wouldn't have had to pay it all at once and could have done it over the year), my credit card was the one making the noise.
Jim and his team fixed me up, though, all in the same day, and with a smile on their faces. Sitting in the garage smelling waiting room was actually pretty entertaining. There's a pamphlet, picture, or poster on practically every inch of wall space. I felt like a kid, twisting and turning to look at everything. Having an iPhone with Words With Friends on it didn't hurt either.
All in all a great experience and I'll be back (not too long from now since I'm a responsible adult and all!)

Established in 1984
We started out in 1984 at the Sunoco in Hog's Back at the corner of Meadowlands Drive and Prince of Wales Drive. Our business name was "Meadowlands Service Centre" providing complete service to import and domestic vehicles specializing in tune up, electrical and air conditioning as well as towing and plowing services. We relocated to 2599 Carling Avenue at Forest in September 4, 1997, renamed our business "Jim Dickinson Auto Tech" and expanded our services to include japanese and europeon imports and used car sales.

Jim is a Class "A" Auto Technician with Interprovincial Seal with
Years in this business: 30 years experience includes servicing brake, suspension, steering, general repairs and factory specified maintenance to all makes and models. Jim specializes in tune up & fuel injection, electrical & air conditioning.
Jim is married with three grown daughters aged 23-28 years old All three are in university and contribute to our monthly newsletter "Jim's Trade Winds". The eldest lives on the west coast and married last March. Jim loves to swim, run, sail, ski, play hockey and tour on his motorcycle.
